Rock Band guitar modified for stompbox overdrive
Were you ever annoyed by the tilt activation controls for the guitar overdrive in Rock Band? One gamer apparently did, and actually decided to do something about it, too. He basically took the thing apart and re-wired his mighty axe to read the overdrive activation through an effects pedal.
Ultimately, this mod gives more control to a player as it won't accidentally trigger off the overdrive. This is especially interesting for those restless rockers out there that really want to move and grove while playing. Think you're good enough to give this a try? Read up on the instructions here.

Oh come on. That's like seeing GT5 and saying "just learn to drive for real!"
Playing games is fun. Get of your damn high horse. I'm a musician and I enjoy Rock Band too. The two are nothing alike. And this mod is just to activate Overdrive (star power) which often can be troublesome because the tilt sensor sucks.

This would be useful in songs like Boston where there is a long pause after the intro. Even if I just readjust my position it goes off.

Yeah this is a great mod for that. Rock Band mods are some of the most creative i've seen in a while.

Why do people tell us Guitar Hero/Rock Band players to play real guitar, but not tell Madden players to play real football?
jinn35 @ Apr 10th 2008 10:01PM
because they are are just a bunch of haters that don't realize we play guitar hero/rockband because it's fun, not because we are "playing" the guitar
