Store redesign dated for the 15th

A press release sent out by SCEJ has revealed that firmware version 2.30 and, by extension, the newly redesigned PlayStation Store will be available on April 15th. There's no word on whether new content will be placed on the store on the day that the redesign goes live, and we're all too familiar with how much Sony hates updating the store on days that don't begin with "Thurs." When the update does go live, however, we'll have plenty of exciting content to look forward to -- Americans can finally get their hands on GT5:P and Warhawk fans the world over will be able to grab the latest expansion. What else? We have no idea, but we're excited to find out.

The redesign is looking fantastic. Plus, I think there might be a surprise Home Beta on launch...there's a lot of evidence pointing to that right now.

Maybe thats what SCEJ is reffering to on their website. Every 50th person who visits the store can download something special. A way of joining the HOME beta?

i think everyone was just guessin that the store will come out on thursday because thats when the new content is released. dont think they ever said the redesign was on the 17th

PS3fanboy, did you miss 50% of the news?? DTS-HD MA will get supported in firmware 2.30!

DTS-HD Master Audio is literally bit-for-bit identical to the studio master recording and makes movie soundtracks and sound effects truly come to life.
