New WipEout HD gameplay footage

Even though it's incredibly compressed, this new gameplay footage of WipEout HD looks incredible. As fans of Pure and Pulse on PSP, it's incredible to see how much of a visual revamp this PS3 remake has. It's expected, of course -- but that doesn't negate how impressive this game looks.

Is this game suppose to be fun? Seems boring as hell. I played the new psp version for like 5 min and was bored out my mind with it.

Does WipEout HD have the best looking HD menu graphics yet? Ohhhhh yes! The ingame visuals aren't half bad either! :p Silky slick 1080p 60fps goodness.

Zone looks AMAZING! My favorite mode gets the coolest treatment yet. I love the way the track changes every... 5 zones I think?

Very Nice... I bought the original wipeout the same day I bought my PS1 back on launch day in the UK, funny to think the PS1 cost the same as MY ps3 and wipeout cost £45 back then...!

Considering the leap in technology, we get a relative bargain these days.

Gonna spend a LOT of time on this game, it's part of the playstation heritage (not that i'm a fanboy, I didn't buy a PS2) and one of the first truly great 3D games back in it's day.

WipEout is why I bought my PS3 as well. Now if we can only get a Twisted Metal game out soon I will be 100% happy with this system. ; )

i don't like the way the says "mines", she sounds scared! i also don't like the way the HUD moves, but im still buying it the day its out, i love wipeout. i hope its out early on Europe like pulse was.

Yeah, the voice overs are a bit weird. I liked it better when they were more 'synthetic'. Either way, this is THE reason I bought a PS3. Wipeout in 1080p is too good to pass up.

And FFS, rerelease Wipeout XL/2097 for PSN. It's like they don't want to take my money.
