European PSN update for April 17th

The second of this week's PSN Store updates is already up. While it's a little slimmer than the one earlier this week everything on the list below is worth grabbing. Especially as it's mostly all free. The only thing that isn't free is the Warhawk expansion, but we're sure you won't mind shelling out a few measly quid for that. Here's the full release list for today:

Metal Gear Online public Beta (free)
Warhawk: Operation Broken Mirror expansion pack (£3.99/€5.99)
LAIR "Deadly Dragons" add-on (free)
Grand Theft Auto 4 "Everyone's a rat" trailer (free)

Don't forget that while the MGO Beta client is available now, the servers won't be open for business until April 21st. In the meantime you can sign up for a Konami ID and make sure you're ready to start playing as soon as possible. We know the next four days are going to be going pretty slowly for you, so why don't you try out Operation Broken Mirror to take your mind off it?

Everyone who wants to play MGO has to have POINTLESS Konami ID.

They need Konami ID as that how you going pay for extra content on MSO.

PSN is not up to job Konami thinks. Well PSN site is never down like Konami one ;)

oh wait, answered it myself:

"Konami has confirmed that the beta will be completely open and will last between April 21st and May 6th. After May 6th the beta client will be removed from the PSN Store."

DON'T BOTHER DOWNLOADING MGO BETA.
IT's an absolute joke. Oce it's downloaded and installed it tells you theres an update available? (wtf i only downloaded it an hour ago how can this be?)

It then gives you 2 options download via HTTP or P2P. Http doesn't work and the p2p one uploads faster than it downloads and then gets cancelled after about 1%.

The update for the MGO beta does not work, constant network errors. Just add it to the list of constant failures and disappointments on the PS3.

My download failed at like 15% i think, i was downstairs when it happened so im not sure, anyway now i can't get back to the update screen D: Maybe it did the download and i don't know? But it was only doing it for about 30 minutes...

After that it told me to register on the website and that the beta starts on the 21st. So yeah, thats what happened for me..

P.S i did it on P2P too.

i have already downloaded the mgo beta and i used the code i have the upload to 1.01 also but i need to make a konami id and the web page ceeps saying its busy idk if its to piss off ppl or if to many ppl are try to make one at the same time and crashed the system

do u lot who are complaining, even read whats going on with this..the servers wont be up until 21st, theres an update because this beta has been running in japan for few month now..so it a progression from that.
. no servers no update. no servers no play. it there for u to download and be ready for when beta starts. simple,

I just finished downloading the EU beta update after like 4 hours of dropping connections. Apparently you do still need a Konami ID even though its a free service. Has anyone managed to successfully register one of these badboys today?

MGO P2P download wasn't going at all last night, tried again this morning and got some connections so left it running, fingers crossed!
Konami ID website still completely broken, if we Europeans DO need an ID to use MGO that's going to be very frustrating...
