Grand Theft Auto IV bundle available at Game UK retailer

In more Grand Theft Auto IV news, it looks like that Swedish GTA IV bundle is moving across Europe. Well, at least to the UK, that is. Spotted on British retail website, Game, the bundle is now available for pre-order. It is priced at a steep (for us Americans anyway) £319.99 (roughly US$640).

Inside the box is a 40GB PS3 and a copy of GTA IV. As far as Britain is concerned, this one is as pricey as any of the other bundles, so it's not a bad deal really.

jeeze..i'm glad i live in the US...that's a pretty steep price for a 40 gig. Didn't know how bad they had it over there, but the game will definitely be worth it.

hehe it gets worse in Ireland, €400 ($630) for a ps3 on its own, no game. €70 ($110) for a game. nicee.....

I should probably clarify my comment, yes, the Euro is worth more than the American dollar, but it's the quality of life that matters...even with that in consideration it still seems a bit on the steep side for a 40 gig

I live in Australia, and I think we've got it the worst.
$699 AUD for the 40 gig PS3 by itself (about 325 pounds, or 650 USD).
It also costs a lot more relative to income.

Correct me if I'm wrong here:
A job in Aus that gets you $50,000 AUD a year would probably get you about $50,000 USD or £50,000 in America and England. So, its a lot more expensive here.

Well, the price is really the same if you don't calculate it into dollars.

Average income is around, well let's say 75.000 euro's, probably its around 75.000 dollars in the US, and 75.000 pounds in the UK.

Just because the dollar isn't worth that much anymore doens's mean that we in europe have less to spend.

€75,000 is way, way over average wage, as is 75,000GBP. I imagine that $75,000 is also a hell of a lot over average wage.

That said, your point is kind of right. Let's just say it's about €$GBP 30,000

Well of course when you convert the currency from $ to Euro it's going to look hella expensive, but $1 = 1.59 Euro, so......it makes sense that it's "really expensive" to us, Americans....

Haha you should look at the Scandinavian prices:

Sweden: $809
Denmark: $808

But that's a rip-off even in our countries. The PS3 40 GB standalone cost about $630 (£324)

I'm kind of surprised they would release a Mature game bundle. Especially if it is the only one avaliable, I can see now some mom freaking out "and probibly some what legitimized" that the only option she has for a gift for her child is a hooker raping, nuts blasting off, every kind of sex simulator. I work at GAME myself. Too much to be honest! Almost 50 hours this week! If I have to say "would you like to preorder wii fit" one more time I swear to god I'll start eating peoples brains and wearing their scalps as a hat...

Ahem where was I. Oh yeah I work at GAME in Manchester and I've seen ALOT of interest in those bundles. I've only seen the head office brief picture, thingymabob... but it looks like it's a true, limited edition bundle like the GT5:P bundle.

At the end of the day that might only mean that it's a ps3 and game with a different box, but since we can't take preorders of the solus GTAIV now atleast it gives some consumers (PS3 ones anyway) another chance at getting GTA on launch day.

I've staff preordered GTA from like last november and I have a fricking operation on the 28th so won't be able to pick up the game.... LIES!
