Burnout Paradise custom soundtracks to come in Cagney update
While we're still waiting on the Bogart update, we're already hearing good things about the future Cagney update. One such major inclusion in Cagney is the ability to play custom soundtracks while cruising Paradise City.
To play a custom soundtrack, all a player needs to do is enter the Easydrive menu, go to "Soundtrack," and then hit "Custom." This will bring up an XMB page where they can select songs to play in modes like shuffle, repeat, or by group.
While this feature is a welcomed addition, the Cagney update has yet to find a fixed release date. This means that the ability to play custom music is, well, still a promise that's far off. The Bogart update is only releasing this April 24 but was revealed way back at the beginning of March. If we can expect to see a similar timeframe, Cagney could still be a month or two away.

Are Burnout online play servers as good as RFOM's? I was afraid of getting any game that required Online for a full experience because my connection is still pretty weak (DSL 256kbps), but I have been playing RFOM with it and had no lag at all. Tekken 5: DR on the other hand... So, anyone? Are the BP servers more like RFOM or is it more like Tekken?

I'm not sure it has as much to do with the servers as it has to do with the game design. I was able to play the 4 player online demo of Burnout but when they made it 8 players it never worked right for me with my crappy 300kbps connection, but I can play 20+ player online Warhawk with no problem. go figure.

fighting games require a lot of bandwidth to play online. my internet can play paradise online, but not fighting games.

Burnout is peer to peer.

so this custom soundtrack patch is still far off. does that mean that we wont be seeing custom soundtracks in a firmware update anytime soon? and im also assuming this means the 2.4 firmware wont have custom soundtracks..

Criterion, you do care after all!!! I will buy the next Burnout game because of this, and I am not usually a car/race game fan. :D As long as it retains the open-road concept as in Paradise.
