PS3 gets seven inch LCD screen

While this may seem like a nice add-on, let's take into consideration what kinds of games you'll be playing while using it. Plan on any RPGs or any game that's heavy on text? Doubt this teeny tiny screen will be able to make words readable since most PS3 games use relatively small fonts. This thing would probably be best for action-oriented games. Still, 7" isn't enough; 13"-14" sounds more like the sweet spot to us.

I was just about to post pretty much the same thing, yeah it's been here for a while now in Canada, saw it a month ago on the FutreShop site and didn't think it was a big deal, or worth wasting money on.

This little screen could be useful for information like, time, weather incoming messages etc while your gaming on your HDtv. The PS3 looks better without it tho!

Well it's nice to have this as a consumer option however I don't see the market for this. People who wants a portable gaming option would go PSP or DS. The PS3 is too heavy to port around and what about power? Somehow a battery option?

This would be perfect for those times you didn't want to turn on your big screen TV to listen to some music on your PS3. Just use the mini screen to select what you want to listen to. Not sure how to do the video out switching thing easily though............

MGS4, needs to go to school. lol and yes i i think its way to small, i like the idea of the 13-14 inch tho. but i dont really think i would use it, being i have an hdtv thats way better. Maybe if i was on a road trip and even then i have my psp thats probley better than that sceen....
