Silent Hill V gets new name: Homecoming

The first Silent Hill game of the new generation is donning a new name. Silent Hill: Homecoming is coming to PS3 this September -- ~~at least in Europe~~ in both Europe and America.

Homecoming introduces series newcomer Alex Shepherd, who's trying to return home to investigate the mysterious disappearance of his brother. Of course, Alex will discover the truth behind his brother's disappearance only by confronting the horrors of Silent Hill.

The Silent Hill games have gone 'Off the boil' over the past few titles.

Let's hope this one, along with the power of the PS3, can return the series to it's former glory.

I lost my fate in the SH series...i miss "team silent" a lot... they know how to make a scary game...not just another sh2 rip off.... and the graphics or the gameplay ( based on the videos )they just dont look next gen. They need to remake the franchise like resident evil did from re3 to re4 and its seems like they are going in re5. Oh and please new monsters.. im getting bored with those mutants theyre just not scary anymore and that doesnt mean "bring does ghost zombies again".

pd. Siren is going to rock better because they have part of the silent team with them and they sure know how to scare people psychological..or whatever the word is lol.

Seriously kids, do we need to to go looking for a lost relative or friend yet again? Can there not be some other reason to go to silent hill? how about someone that's already there? Like "be there" for the beginning when Silent Hill goes evil and watch the place transform and implode.

Or, if we need to keep chasing friends to silent hill, why not a dog? usually people seem to have a sinful reason for ending up in Silent Hill, but a dog is so innocent, it doesn't deserve to be there!
