GTA IV bundle confirmed for Europe

SCEE has confirmed the existence of the Grand Theft Auto IV PS3 bundle that we've been seeing around the net for a little while. The bundle will be available, seemingly, across Europe at a price of £319.99 or €439 on April 29th, day and date with the game itself. Inside you will find a 40GB PS3 along with a SIXAXIS controller and a copy of the game. For the price, it's not a bad deal. Nothing special, but good enough to be tempting.

We're certainly intrigued to see how many PS3s GTAIV will push and a bundle like this can only be a good thing. So if you haven't got a PS3 yet and are thinking of picking one up for what is, arguably, the biggest game release of the year, you know what to go for.

If that's true, then... whoa.....

But on Amazon, its much different. The 360 version is outselling the PS3 version 57% to 43%.

Maybe its the fact that PS3>360 in Europe.

In Europe it seems that it is a nip-and-tuck race between 360 and PS3 for 2008. And the Bundle will be PS3-exclusive. Probably thats why MS is airing "Buy a 360 for 199 EUR and GTA."-spots.

MS probably won't mention you need to buy one of their expensive proprietary HDDs if you want to get the DLC they've been bragging about so much.

Anyway GTA needs a HDD anyway, we all know there will be major popup and slowdown when everything has to be read from the disk.
