Bishi Bashi Special 'first of several' in the coming months

Today Konami Europe has released a rather tardy press release to announce last Thursday's release of Bishi Bashi Special on the European PSN Store. The press release contains the normal PR speak about how thrilled Konami is that Bishi Bashi Special is their first PS1 game released over the PSN, how awesome the game is and how exciting the whole situation is.

Nestled at the end, however, is the statement that Bishi Bashi Special is "the first of several classic Konami PSOne titles heading to the PlayStation Store in the coming months," with more detailed announcements "to follow." Sounds great to us. We've always been strong advocates of the sadly infrequent PS1 releases. Obviously, at the top of our list would be the original Metal Gear Solid, which would tie perfectly with the release of MGS4 in just over a month. What other Konami titles would you like to see gracing the European store in the coming months?

That got released last year on the US PSN. Did Europe really not get it? SCEE is dumber than I thought...

There's a few but pleeeeeeeeease put Vandal Hearts on!

Suikoden 1 & 2, Legend of Kartia (maybe), Azure Dreams, Kensei Sacred Fist, Silent Hill.

C'mon MGS. It's already availible in Japan, so will we get the best PS1 game ever? Well, we'll just have to wait and see. for now, I'll be sticking to Sons of Liberty and Snake Eater for the time being, but I've got one problem...where do you get the frequency number if you don't have the box?

No one's gonna comment on the awesomeness of Bishi Bashi? heh I have all iterations of it for the ps1 and enjoyed it immensely in the arcades too.

This blog and the other one didn't even say what Bishi Bashi is... it looks intriguing, though. How about the original Gran Turismo and GT2 with the release of Prologue? I also badly want to see that one by the guy who made Parappa the Rapper, where you can put in your own music-- actually I would like to see this remade for ps3, along with Parappa...
