WarDevil returns in first new trailer in two years

Remember WarDevil? Don't blame yourself if you don't -- the last anyone saw of this PS3 exclusive was in E3 2006. Now, this game from the dudes at Digi-Guys has a brand new trailer. It's mysterious, and doesn't reveal much, but it reminds us that this game is still in development. We want to know more about this title, but don't be surprised if we have to wait until this year's E3 to find out anything of substance.

Ive been waiting for you guys to put this up so I could comment on it (took you guys yonks), anyway the graphics in this trailer are expectedly good...however the sound is freakin horrible.
The footsteps, the stabbing. My god. Please fix it.

I don't think I'm alone when I say that I've never heard of this title up until today, (there's nothing wrong with that... obscure is good), but I have to say that this isn't a very captivating trailer. I really like the character design and art direction, but for a game that almost no one seems to know about this sort of a promo seems fairly mediocre. It's really too soon to say anything about this other than "You couldn't have made a more awe-inspiring trailer after two years?". Granted there are far more important things to worry about, (i.e. ACTUALLY WORKING ON THE GAME), but good advertising, hype, and positive demonstration is very important. A shit game can sell outrageous number with sufficient hype.
Anyway, I suppose it's basically a waiting game to see whether or not this is something I should be excited for or not.

For some reason, the music and atmosphere reminds me it's going to be another Heavenly Sword w/ 4-5 hrs of gameplay. I didn't mind HS since the acting was superb, but this new trailer is giving me the HS vibe. At least it's better than the first seizure-inducing trailer.

That was awful. Guy walks into a room full of nearly dead people and stabs them until they die. Graphics suck, art design sucks, and even though I love a violent video game, this use of violence is unnecessary.

Graphics suck? Any suckiness of the graphics in this video is due to the poor qualilty of the video, not because of the game.

It's kind of lame how the character takes the polearm thing from the ground only to stab it into the next moving robot. Should've just used the knife thing that was built into his arm.

That was the lamest trailer ever... Robots bleeding? The graphics are not that bad but the game does not even come close to Heavenly Sword.
I has hyped beacause this was a PS3 exclusive... but it should go to the Nintendo DS or something ;-)

I agree that the video itself isn't amazing, but what little else I've seen and heard about this game is.
It's being made on a new engine that's been built specifically for the PS3 with the aim of running the game at 1080p at 60FPS. The graphics look nothing short of amazing. (See the stills I linked to above.). And I personally love the art direction and the setting looks interesting.
One relatively dull video isn't enough to dent my enthusiasm for this game.

Hahah, I noticed that too. I've seen stronger arms on newborns. Maybe robots don't need to be bulky to be strong..or something.
BTW was I the only one laughing at those stupid lion rats? The noises they were making...bahahaha.

WTF, graphics look great. But damn that trailers sucks so bad.
I expected maby some fighting.
The only thing that happened was main char killing some dudes that were lying almost dead on the floor -_-'
If they really want to excite people, this was a really bad attempt. OMG hire a geographer or something.

What an innovative concept. I can see it in action. This guy isn't the hero -- he's not your Dante or Kratos or what have you. This is the guy who follows them around and ties up loose ends. He wastes a few stragglers, checks out the carnage, has to avoid the carrion-eaters... it's great! So many possibilities! Just think of the slogans:
"In a world where everybody is almost dead, one man has the courage to finish off the last survivors..."
"WarDevil: He picks up where the real heroes leave off."
"What comes after a Finishing Move? WarDevil."

The stabbing motions seems really slow and just... off. I expected a little quicker movement, and it seemed like there was little to no impact.

This was a jaw dropping game engine (RTA180). The animation, graphics, lighting, motion blur. Damn that is amazing, 1080p running at 60fps is not just a joke. I don't know how could they manage to do that, if they did then they are very genius game engine builder. I see many xbox fanboys are here to put negative impression, but listen I can understand your feeling when digi-guys made their decision to go exclusive to PS3.
