Killzone 2 continues to look pretty in gray

Click for full-resolution image.
We're sorry to say that we didn't get a chance to get some hands-on time with Killzone 2 at the PlayStation Day event in London today. We did, however, enjoy watching through the fence surrounding the booth as various other members of the press got to do their thing. Not to mention the video during the keynote. There's no denying that Killzone 2 is a gorgeous game, even if it is primarily gray and green. Five new images have been added to our Killzone 2 gallery, which can be found below. Four are in-game screenshots and one is the spectacular piece of artwork you see above you. No, not above you -- above this paragraph. Made you look, though.

Did someone say wallpaper?
SonofaGunner @ May 6th 2008 8:36PM
How about giving us the higher resolution version of those screens? ;)
And there's nothing wrong with the colour scheme since it takes place on Helghan.

That new video just bleeds AWESOME...
Killzone 2 looks so beautiful... so fluid...
I'll give them all the time in the world. I'm so glad they didn't rush this game. It's going to push graphical & gameplay bounderies, and that ain't no doubt.
Can't wait for this game. Such a sight to behold. Thanks for that video.

this game is going to push boundaries, Grey, green, pink, or magenta. It has some impressive technology, I mean look at the lightning, and the textures, it all looks, so dynamic, and yet its still only in PRE-ALPHA.

I was about to minus you for advertisement spam but those triggers look useful.
Phizzy @ May 7th 2008 1:39PM
Yeah, they are pretty useful. PSM3 UK gave them away with two issues of the magazine, so I have both my controllers triggered up. Have to take them off for games that require you to use R1 and R2 at the same time, though - like Warhawk. It's uncomfortable having to reach that much further with my middle fingers.
ryan @ May 7th 2008 4:25PM
LOL, it does look like a spam comment! sorry bout that, but i really can't wait to use them for games like Killzone 2 and Resistance 1 and 2.
Mein Bratwurst @ May 7th 2008 2:44AM
I'll wait until the game is out and in my hands to judge it as far as graphics go. I remember hopping aboard the Killzone 1 hype train a few years ago only to be let down somewhat. The game wasn't ugly, true, but it was nothing special. Lets not forget all the pop in issues either.
Anyway, I think the game was rushed... with this one not coming out until next year, I'm hoping Guerrilla Games can pump out the kick ass title I was expecting.
P.S. The lighting looks awesome so far.
Matt B @ May 7th 2008 8:41AM
The video has a lot more color than the the last bit we saw.
Phizzy @ May 7th 2008 1:46PM
Jem, aren't you English? And you dare you spell 'grey' wrong?
ryan @ May 7th 2008 4:25PM
just wanted to thank you for telling me about the trigger armor. so thanks again, I can't wait to use them when I get my PS3!
