MGS4 bundle is deploying in Europe

Well, guess it turns out that Europe is getting a Metal Gear Solid 4 bundle after all. The only drawback is that this bundle doesn't include a DualShock 3 (SIXAXIS only) unlike the recently revealed Japanese "welcome boxes" and North America's own bundle. The new Snake-tastic bundle is another 40 GB system which will be available by the international release date of June 12. The bundle is currently set at €439.99.

Dam this got me thinking since japan got the 40gb mgs4 bundle and now europe will be getting the 40gb mgs4 bundle wat makes u think that we wont be getting a 40gb mgs4 bundle god i hope not i have been w8ing 4 this pack 2 comeout cause there is no way i can buy the 40gb version i mean no offence ppl but i really do wanna play my old ps2 games on my ps3 especially since before i even touch mgs4 i am going 2 play 1-3 again.

Anyway, if the US doesn't get an 80GB MGS4 bundle that'll suck but they'll probably still sell quite a few of them anyway. I wonder what's up with Europe not getting the DS3?

If your in the USA were getting the new 80 gig possibly with the new Dual cooling fans instead of one like the old 80 but don't expect it.

What more can I say. It's evident that they hold the european consumer in total and utter contempt.

The rest of the world get 80gb PS3 when we are stuck with 40GB

The rest of the world get dual shock 3 and we get sixaxis.

I'm really fed up with this. I'm seriously considering e-baying my 40gb PS3 and getting an Xbox 360. Sure its not great but I'd rather jump into bed with Microsoft than be bugge*ed by SCEE.

Two words SCEE - FORK YOU!

Maybe the 80G would cost extra (for Sony and Europe) while in the US we still get things relatively cheap. I imagine that's why they only sell 40G in Europe..anything higher would have a bigger price tag and not sell.

I guess they are trying to beat the xbox over in America by giving all the Yanks the good stuff, while screwing over PAL regions with higher prices, delays & non-releases.

So glad I picked up that DS3 in Japan now.

I'm sure there are some "business" reasons why SCEE are not supporting their customers to the same degree as SCEA or in Japan (demand for DualShocks so high in Japan and US that they can't support Europe at the same time? - I don't know) but they really need to sort it out.

And my generic response to any harangue about "selling my PS3" and "converting to Xbox" is always simply: "Please do it." And then head over to xbox360fanboy.com and post your complaints when that product doesn't do EXACTLY what you want it to.

Sony musy have some idea about how much they're pissing off Europeans, but the whole "too much demand" issue is kind of stupid, if they can't create a greater supply so the whole world can enjoy, then they shouldn't isolate one or two (Australia gets the short straw too) continents and deliver all their new good to just Japan and the States, and lets just consider out of Europe and the States who has the bigger PS3 install base...it is Europe isn't? Otherwise my argument kind of fails right about here :P

why wont sony give europeans a choice about what spec we want to purchase..i would like a unit that has the card readers and usb ports at the rear ( what is the point of having a fantastic looking console if all your add- ons are hanging out the front like it`s just spilled its guts out

exactly, i had a year to save up for a PS3 and when i finally got enough money, the only option left was a 40GB. And i actually wasn't one of those ones complaining about the price. I was willing to spend £425.

I know its more cost effective for sony to release 40GB in europe but it can't be considered fair to offer their 'high-end' PS3 exclusively to the US.
