Konami announces UK MGS4 pre-order bonus

Konami has come through for Europeans once again by announcing that the "Metal Gear Saga Vol 2.0" pre-order bonus will be made available in the region. The DVD, containing a seven-part documentary which "details the origins of previous Metal Gear games and the evolution of Hideo Kojima's epic series", will be sent out to people who pre-order Metal Gear Solid 4 at "key retail partners across Europe."

The press release also reiterates the existence of the Limited Edition version of the game, which is available in the UK at Play.com. The bundle includes a 6" action figure of Old Snake, a "Making Of" Blu-ray disc, a copy of the game's soundtrack along with the game itself. The "Making Of" Blu-ray will have "two high-definition documentaries which offer a candid, behind-the-scenes look at the development" of the game. While this is a great bundle, it's up to you whether it's worth the £80 pricetag.

£80!!!! That's over $155 to my America friends. Tell you what I'll do, buy the standard version and a DualShock 3.....think about the rumble guy at Konami/Kojima!

I agree

I may buy the MGS4 sub for extras. But not the MGS4 special edition.

I also like the idea of a dual shock 3 and MGS4; much better idea than just the standard edition.

Is there a picture of the action figure? If it's cool than it's probably worth the price.

I paid 90 euros for the GTA4 special edition and I was kinda disappointed. Yes my own fault for not checking what was included with it but the standard version was sold out at every shop in town.

So in other words, for pre-ordering they get the exact same things us Americans already have, but no Beta. That kinda sucks.

I've yet to pick up a ps3, mainly because I've been holding out for this title, and waiting to get an HD set.

I'd probably just get the regular edition, though...if it were a resin bust of the cover art, though...I'd be sold. That is one awesome shot.

I have pre ordered the special edition cause I am a total sucker for special editions and a bit of over time at work will pay for this easily.......BUT:

PS3FANBOY PLEASE CAN YOU CONFIRM:
Will the Play.com special edition contain the "Metal Gear Saga Vol 2.0" DVD as well as the Blu-Ray that is already included.
