Sharp eyes spot downloadable TV shows in PS3 ad

Sony has said time and time again that they're interested in delivering video content on the Store. Could this be an indication of what's to come? (Xbox Live Video Marketplace currently offers videos from all of these content providers.) Or, is this an overenthusiastic mock-up?

Yeah, you can look in the video that he moves the xmb menu with his hands. lol. No im just kidding. This is really nice i once read that sky is going to ps3. I hope we see PPV events in like... 2 years? ( counting delays and all that).

Yeah, also voice command is said to come, as well as hand-gesture-control, with the use of the PlayStation Eye.

I won't lie, I thought that ad was not really that great compared to some other game videos and tv adverts SCEA has put out before.
Did anyone else see a little bunny in the on of the top-left corner screens?

With the amount of movies, tv series, anime and other special programming that Sony owns the rights to, they could effectively lap XBL's content in one go if Sony so wished.

From the screen shot before the jump I thought it was going to be Bill Cosby dancing, like the opening of 'The Cosby Show'.
Disappointed now, but TV shows... that'll be good for all you Americans. Us Brits and europeans probably shouldn't get our hopes up for a very long time

I stopped the video right at the position of where the screenshot is placed & it's there. In the video.
So if it's in a official Playstaion 3 ad, by Sony, why wouldn't it be real?
Why would they put it in there if they aren't going for it?
One thing for sure is, the screenshot isn't a mock up at all & you can easily see it yourself if you watch the video from where the "Shop at the Playstation Store" subtitle starts.

this is the sort of advertising that should have been used when they released the ps3. It communicates a lot more clearly what the ps3 is capable of. Maybe then the average person would understand what they were putting their money down for.

Excactly. Admitted the SCEE commercials were cool, but people didn't understand them, neither did I, how the hell did they relate to PS3?
