It might not be the biggest splash in this lake of information, but for those who played Electronic Arts' first
SKATE title, you should be glad to know
another game is on its way. This isn't to be confused with the next game in the franchise that's coming out only on the Wii, dubbed
SKATE it, where you use a balance board to ... well ... skate. As for the true sequel, no further information on the game, its release date, or suggested retail price are known right now. But it's in the works, so we'll keep you updated as information arrives.

Wow good for them, maybe the could do us another favour, other than letting us know anymore about it, keep it to themselves and not insult us with such [insert swear word here]

Mentality @ May 12th 2008 3:59PM
I'm just hard faced man, I hated it, but hey don't take my comment to heart, if you like it you like it, I was just giving my opinions.

Skate rules
Popfrogs @ May 12th 2008 4:13PM
Except for the buggy online and crappy framerate, Skate. was a good concept. Maybe EA will actually use the Cell right this time.
TopBiLLin @ May 12th 2008 4:16PM
cant wait
skate is for kids with the dexterity to operate a skateboard
tony hawk is for kids who like to press a button and automatically do a trick
dirkmagurk @ May 12th 2008 4:21PM
hopefully skate 2 will allow you to get off your board so I can truckslap Big Black to get the hell out of the way
proArchy @ May 12th 2008 4:27PM
YAAYYYY! please: let me get off my board in this one( its such a pain when getting back up stairs), night/day cycle, flick-it trick mapping (would allow for more tricks in the game), ability to edit clips together and export them outside of the game, splitscreen freemode, and use more vertical space (more access to higher places)
uh-oh polio @ May 12th 2008 5:01PM
Loved the first one. It definatly made me move away from tony hawk's etc skater and realize how bad it really was. Anyways...stoked to hear about this...now lets not hear any delays:)
elephant_stone @ May 12th 2008 5:03PM
SKATE was really good...until you went online with the PS3 version :( booo
velocitystrike @ May 12th 2008 6:04PM
Surprised it doesn't end with "09", to be honest. Nice to see EA came into this genre smoothly; hopefully TH will be a formidable opponent at its next release.
Mike @ May 13th 2008 4:36AM
please...PLEASE have split screen this time around instead of SKATE or Who can get the most points on a rail seriously... the multiplayer modes better be better this time around
postalblowfish7 @ May 13th 2008 4:16PM
maybe they'll let us change the freakin horrible camera angle this time around...
it is EA, so i wouldn't count on it.
