Metal Gear news had already ended for today? Well, it hasn't. As the
MGS4 Completion Ceremony came to a close in Japan, one final audio clip of Ocelot on the phone suggests that plans for a new
Metal Gear game are already underway.
1Up translated Ocelot's phone call monologue and wrote down the Russian triple-spy's exact lines:
"By the way, what should we do about The Project?" and "It's about the sequel."1Up suggests that the new title may be
MGS5; however, we think that with Solid Snake
out of the picture, the
Metal Gear series will continue with a whole new moniker.
Metal Gear Raiden anyone? Perhaps
Metal Gear La-Li-Lu-Le-Lo?

Well technically speaking, it wasn't Solid Snake in MGS3 too. So it could, theoretically, still be within the realm of the "MGS" series with another character/Snake.

i believe it wont be another mgs for ps3 but a new game on the psp with kojima statement saying he think the psp is a great platform and he would like to work on its.This statement was made this year

I liked him. He was a good villian and actually had really good motives, therefore making him a non-villian, but one that you had to kill anyway.

Listen more carefully to the trailers released today, and you will have at least a sliver of hope that he didn't really go. Remember, MGS is the series where people refuse to die. Who would have thought Liquid would be back? Did you really see Solidus die? I recall him being seriously injured, and then cutting to the next scene. How odd, unless this was deliberate.

Given that Solid Snake received all the dominant genes from Big Boss, they are essentially the same person...so in a weird retrospective way, Big Boss is Solid Snake...maybe?

It was Liquid who received the dominant genes from Big Boss, but Snake turned out to be the better soldier. Tiem to replay MGS1 ^^

Wow.. somebody missed the whole theme and point of Metal Gear Solid. The theme from MGS was "Gene" and the point was that your genes don't define your fate.
Maybe it is time to replay that one.. you've got a month before MGS4.

Pretty sure throughout the whole game liquid thought solid had the dominant genes, then the twist at the end was that it was acually liquid who was perfect, and solid had the recessive.
This could be proof that some people didn't bother to finish the game and just say they did for being in on the MGS4 uproar.
Annoys me when people do that to become part of something that so many others have been part of for years :(

Idk... if this is another MG... it'll probably be another prequel. I think the main Metal Gear Solid storyline should end here... If they keep making more it'll then just feel like they're trying to drag it on to make money. But this is just my opinion.

I think (and really hope) it's more likely to be a Snatcher or Zone of the Enders sequel.
Admittedly the ending to Zone of the Enders 2 didn't really need a sequel, but I still have yet to play a game quite so fast-paced ludicrous robot action without importing it since. (There's a 360 game which is essentially a ZoE ripoff sitting somewhere in my house, but I can't recall its name.)

I pretty sure that in the original mgs it does not mention that liquid had the dominant genes as i die hard MGS fan who has completed all the games except MGS twin snakes i was always under the impression that snake has the dominant genes. as the last speech by ocelot has changed from the original. And i think in all the times i have ever completed the original metal gear solid it never says that liquid has dominant genes.
Although it makes more sense with the mgs theme that genes don't decide a persons fate
