PixelJunk Eden: new screenshots
After the release of the hugely successful PixelJunk Monsters (and subsequent Encore expansion), all eyes are on Q-Games' next PSN downloadable titles. Eden is up next, and once again we're lured in by its impeccable visual presentation. We don't really know how it'll play: we do know that it involves flowers, the SIXAXIS, and physics in some way -- making this a rather different affair than Q-Games' PixelJunk Racers and Monsters.

I didn't like PJR too much but PJM got me and my gf hooked. We couldn't stop playing the expansion either. I'm hoping PJE is another fun title from them.

I got both PJM and PJR and loved them both.
This game looks/sounds like it might be a bit like FLOWer. I'm not too keen on the sixaxis controlled games i've played like flow and Loco Roco.

It does sound and look a bit like Locoroco. I really like PJM a lot, and I thought PJR was pretty cool even though it didn't hook me quite as much. PJR reminds me of those slot car races that were popular in the 80's, so it's kinda nostalgic.

I'm completely obsessed with PJM... PJR, not so much.
This game looks... meh. Maybe it could be improved with PS Eye support?
I have a feeling that Dylan is on a mediocre-great-mediocre schedule for game releases.
Much like baldness (supposedly) skips a generation...

buy it? sure why not. it's the cost of a movie ticket :)

Pixle Junk games are just that.
You pay for a flash rendered game you could have played on a computer over online with others, and it could have served as a better execution. They only reason they didn't? Advertising money online doesn't commit like a hot hand of mac and mayo with every count, NAW MEAN?!

Well, on the surface they may seem that way. The art style is definitely the same, but I've never encountered flash games that look this good and have such fun and deep gameplay.
They'd be better compared to games like Peggle (which I also love), but these have more content and are less than half the price.

yeah PJM ownd PJR eh.... Lets see how this loco roco/fl0wer spin off will play out.

Well Lars, with games like Music Bounce: http://www.letsmakeagame.com/, Draw My Thing: http://uploads.ungrounded.net/439000/439416_arcade_newgrounds_drawmyth.swf, Thing Thing 4: http://www.diseasedproductions.net/, Net Terminator, Madness Interactive, and many others... I don't think 'content' is what you meant to say. The general concept of a game properly executed can be executed repeatedly until satiated. Peggle the repetitiously malevolent point crawler has you believe your rank is upgrading, when that is actually set dressing. The unlock able characters through the training levels are very engrossing as the 'bonus effect' is very dramatic and satisfying. The industry of video has always been quoted as such, "If you can get five minutes of FUN game play, you can pretty much stretch that into a whole six hours or more." and it's true. But in the case of Pixle Junk games, three hours of content maximum. You plow through the game after a late Sunday lunch and it's over. No replayability, nothing. The payoff is over, you got to play. Play is the product, and like all good hip hop that speaks in volumes.
