American PSN Store update for May 15th

Another week, another update. While Europeans got their hands on Dark Mist and a new PS1 game today, American PS3 owners have a little less to celebrate about. Rocketmen: It Came From Uranus rears its ugly head and demands a preposterous $5 for the "pleasure." We'll pass, thanks. Here's the full release list:

Most definitely. I didn't even check the update on the Web before I just checked it on the PS Store, so imagine my surprise when I saw that.

So, DBZ demo AND Naruto video? Plus two cool echochrome themes? Dare I say, best update ever?

Yeah, and "Overlord: Raising Hell demo," woot! Am I the only one who thinks this B-title looks like a blast to play?

Oh and regarding "SCEA has got the hang of decent updates:" I don't get what Sony has to do with non-Sony content coming out on PSN? Shouldn't that say "Third parties have gotten the hang of releasing decent content to America," eh? I only expect first-party content a few times a year.

I beat the Overlord game on the 360 and enjoyed it. I haven't played the demo yet but I didn't think the graphics were shoddy. The major problem I had was multitasking my minions which the 360 controller was unsuited for since Microsoft switched the positions of the D-pad and the left analog stick.

It's a funny game, give it a chance.

This is an awesome update!

Most PS3 fans seem to be thrilled with the 2 excellent demos. The Capcom game is trash, but it's only $5. If you like that sort of game, it's not a ripoff.

The Dragonball Z demo is revolutionary. It proves again just how amazing the graphical capabilities of the PS3 really are... But you won't hear that kind of exciting on this site.

I wish we always got these awesome Store updates. Dark Mist isn't going to come to the US (that's just the nature of the business sadly). Otherwise, this is a super update.

Why isn't PS3fanboy a fan of the PS3?

Btw, Live just got the DBZ demo today, too. Nice to see simultaneous releases on both networks. I'll download this just to try to goad my DBZ loving friends to get a PS3.

Weird, it should switch to an appropriate setting automatically. Which resolutions have you got activated in the Display Menu?

DBZ demo is freaking awesome, day one purchase for me.Overload was quite good too, didn't look spectacular bult felt good. Refreshing, will probably buy that day one too.

Terrible....just ....terrible. Most weeks these updates are just a huge waste of time getting excited about. Im going to lower my expectations.

How about Rock Band has been sucking it up for the past month or so. They need to get some songs people "want" to pay for. This crap they've been putting out is horrible. Oh yeah, where are all those full albums. You put out an old, old, old Judas Preist and think we're supposed to be impressed?

Hell yeah, you'd think they'd put more new music out. Not music from BEFORE I was born. My dad on the other hand loves all the 60's music n crap but I'm not a huge fan of all the oldies.

I was looking forward to seeing PS1 Red Alert on the US store too. Even though not a mind-blowing PC-to-PS1 port, it seems like it could provide some amusement while I work my night shifts. My PSP is getting cold and lonely. I keep picking it up only to see the battery drained/empty while sitting on my desk for weeks.

I don't wear over-sized silk shirts, so this update is extremely lacking for me.

I think this is a neat update. I already had the DBZ game preordered, but playing the demo showed me it was a good call. And I liked the Overlord demo, but it's just the 360 game (which you can get for $20) plus DLC, so why are they charging the full $60 for it? Should be $40. And I'm interested in the Clank demo as well. Three interesting demos? Actually this is a huge update. There are times I go weeks without downloading anything but themes and wallpapers.

seriously, this is a great update! i dont know why all the Stiq and Fanboy crews seem so mum about it today. DBZ demo and Secret Agent Clank make it a great update, not to mention the Haze theme (granted its not the same one i got from the EU store last week).
