I'm disappointed. The 5th ghostbuster should be Rick Moranis.
Anyway it looks sort of good,I hope this is an alpha build.
I don't know if I should get the Ps3 version,it would be perfect if it included online co-op I guess.I really want to try out the Wii/Ds gimmicks too.
By the way I thought the Ghostbusters get less money if they destroyed stuff.

Seriously people watch it.Is not Rick Roll.
Grimjack @ May 18th 2008 12:35AM
Looks very cool.
Mikezula @ May 18th 2008 12:39AM
You know.
Considering Sony owns Ghostbusters. And this awesome vid showed up on their Gamer's Day. AND the developers themselves openly admitted they'd rather work on this title solely for the PS3.
Kinda makes you wonder how this didn't end up being a Sony exclusive.
Just wondering aloud.
kevin @ May 18th 2008 1:43AM
maybe because they are not fanboys and want to make good money? thinking aloud like you.
Mikezula @ May 18th 2008 1:52AM
Just saying.
They've been talking about being all "synergystic" within the different branches of Sony.
Mikezula @ May 18th 2008 1:54AM
Not to mention an exclusive COULD actually rake in more money.....if it got even more people to pick up PS3s.
You're talking about the freakin' GHOSTBUSTERS, here! Nostalgia up the rooftops!
kevin @ May 18th 2008 3:37AM
well i was just sayin too but sadly all they care about is money bro
Jimmijam @ May 18th 2008 10:33AM
Yeah, I'm not sure what the economics are... GTA made gobs of money, but if it were an exclusive, there probably would be noticeable increase in console sales. More console, over time, means more software. And we all know revenue is generated mostly on software.
So if there's a hot title (I'm not saying Ghostbuster is it, but something like GTA which got hyped with a ton of 10/10 scores), you'd think it'd be smart for Sony to pay extra to keep it exclusive. More of a long term over a short term gain.
But then what do I know.
Ogre722 @ May 19th 2008 1:56AM
I think this game is a shining beacon of hope for movie-based games in next-gen. Ghostbusters isn't easily transferable to interactive media so this is looks to be well made. I hope the final game incorporates the humor from the movies, considering Dan Akeroid is a writer.
Consolcwby @ May 18th 2008 4:10AM
Hmm... they made a 3rd person shooter out of ghostbusters.... sounds okay, but it looks like many other shooters. I think this is one I need to try to tell if it lives up to it's pedigree or not. Liked the music though! =D
Christian @ May 18th 2008 6:11AM
Uh? Exactly which other shooter do this remind you of?
RavenPaul13 @ May 18th 2008 4:53AM
Looks great. I just hope there's more to the game than going around shooting ghosts. Some investigation I'm sure.
rd2000 @ May 18th 2008 7:26AM
ZUUUULL
Atarikid @ May 18th 2008 10:22AM
First impression is very very good indeed!
Could be a winner.
BTW strange it will not follow the story of the forth coming Ghostbusters III.
Brodie-san @ May 18th 2008 10:28AM
The sound effects of the packs and even the piano thrill seen at the start are great throwbacks to the charm of this franchise. Looks solid, though I'd be concerned about how much the slime weapon that moves heavy objects will be purely used as a gimmick.
Can't see myself picking it up but who knows - if it sells buckets and gets released as a "Platnium" or "Greatest Hits" or whatever they're going to call it in the future would be worth picking up for a €25 or so.
hatmantc @ May 18th 2008 12:56PM
to me this will be a must own. i am gonna keep a close eye on the progress of this one.
JAH75157 @ May 18th 2008 6:34PM
please make this game be cool video game gods, my life will be shattered if my childhood dreams of being a ghostbuster is a subpar experience.
djpenny1 @ May 18th 2008 6:43PM
i might rent this game its get 7 or more on gamespot.com
RagingStormX @ May 18th 2008 10:21PM
Nostalgia alone won't be enough....I'm gonna need a demo to move my hand to buy this. I am feeling the Folklore-like sixaxis mechanics thought ...
evilJaze @ May 20th 2008 10:02AM
I was a bit skeptical but it looks like it will be fun-on-a-bun. I love how they kept the music faithful to the original movie.
