Haze: the dating show (seriously)
This is one of the strange, most unique promos we've seen for any video game -- and we love it. Haze Multiplayer Date is a Hazethemed dating show. Yes, strange, no? We don't know who greenlit this promo, but we have to give props to Ubisoft and Free Radical to do something we haven't seen on the internet. And boy, we've seen a lot of stuff on the internet.

Liquid @ May 19th 2008 7:44PM
whats so awesome about this game??? it its 576p and 3gb of installation.. (i have 80gb ps3)
anthonyjh @ May 19th 2008 8:59PM
Ok? That doesn't really affect the quality of the game at all.
Popfrogs @ May 19th 2008 10:37PM
Are you talking about this game or GTA4?
stargateheaven @ May 20th 2008 9:43AM
576p, what is your point?
Halo runs even lower, gta runs even lower..
Those games all look great. Infact, at this resolution, it runs better too. Would you like 1080p amazing graphics and a 1fps frame rate? christ, think before you talk.
Mr.ESC @ May 19th 2008 7:51PM
That was so cheesy it was funny although the sexual inuendos were boring.
The online sounds broken as hell.Nectar + Sniper = Ownag3.
Well at least they tried but this is why I prefer gameplay videos :/
Kevin @ May 19th 2008 9:00PM
Well yeah but you have to remember the overdose.
What if a rebel goes up and shoots him in the back.
All of a sudden you're getting head shots on your own guys.
On a lighter note the song at the end was pretty funny.
Mr.ESC @ May 19th 2008 11:08PM
The thing is that the nectar allows you to spot incoming rebels.
The rebels should at least get a invisible cloak like the spy in TF2.
Ptrack_Git @ May 19th 2008 8:29PM
The more I see about this game, the more I think "Hell this might actualy be good"...
PSRT @ May 19th 2008 10:34PM
God...I need a shower...
Lp47PS3 @ May 20th 2008 12:09AM
I found this pretty funny.
Shifter @ May 20th 2008 3:06AM
You know, I'm pretty psyched about this game. I'm not sure why all of the "PS3 fanboy" crew and so many fans seem so disgruntled about it.
First of all, everyone is flipping out over the graphics. This game is from is from Free Radical. Free EFFING Radical. They gave us Timesplitters. Timesplitters 2 and 3 were quite possibly the best multiplayer console FPS' ever (TS2/3 were insanely good for their times, and I would argue they are still more fun splitscreen than CoD4 or Halo 3).
Secondly, the demo (and I have no doubt the full game) will run as smooth as greased butter! TS always ran smooth 4 player splitscreen and I always loved it for that!
Now I hear that this game has one level on a giant roving tank/aircraft carrier thing? That's freakin' awesome!
These guys know how to make fun games. They brought us Goldeneye for the 64, Timesplitters 1-3, and now Haze. I've had confidence in this game for well over a year and it isn't shaken in the least. Hopefully I'll see those of you who aren't so damn jaded online!
SDVDEV @ May 20th 2008 9:04AM
timesplitters more fun than cod 4? ok you lost all credibility on this forum. this video wasted too much of my life that i wont get back. IGN gave haze a 4.5 rating, i dont think it deserves that bad a score but i will not buy this game based on the demo. it deserves a 6 or 7 score at best.
Phizzy @ May 20th 2008 4:38AM
Haha, that was excellent. I want to make a sex to Rob Yescombe.

tonyt3rry @ May 20th 2008 8:39AM
the textures still look crap i dont mind about the demo i know it was pre alpha or what ever, the fact its not 720p native doesnt bother me, but it just doesnt seem to make up for the loss of the 720p native

all these ps3 games running at less than 1080p. This really sucks. I agree I would rather have a game run well at a lower res than crappy at a higher res, but sony was touting in-game 1080p as one of the main reasons to invest in a ps3. granted, the blu-ray feature alone makes it worth it; but had i known these games would not be superior in any way (and as a matter of fact would be inferior et al installing to hard drive) to those of the xbox360, i never would have passed up a 360 just to get a ps3 at launch (i probably would have gotten a 360 ->then a ps3). i also didn't invest close to 3000 dollars on a 1080p tv set so i could play my 360 games in 1080p (i got my tv for my ps3 alone), because, thats right, atleast the 360 upscales everything to 1080p. When i play grand theft auto on my ps3, the only way i can get it to upscale to 1080p is by "fooling" my ps3 into thinking my tv doesn't support the other lower resolutions. if things don't change soon, in-spite of the fact that the ps3 supposedly has some pretty cool features lined up for this year (maybe overrated just as everything ps3 to this point has been), i may have to concede with my friends claims that xbox360 is a better choice for the true gamer (gamers wanted 1080p, ms gave us 1080p, gamers wanted hdmi because of ps3, ms gave us hdmi, which by the way makes a significant difference in image quality)...oh and finally, lets talk about installing games. i cannot believe i have read posts where some of you guys are defending and even promoting the installation of games onto the ps3's hard drive. fact of the matter is, it is an extreme inconvenience. and please don't say "omg, stop complaining about your space, ps3 just installs for better experience. if you need more room go buy a 500gb hard drive noob" because that solution is ridiculous. if i am to buy a 500gb hard drive for my ps3, it is going to be for music and vidoes, not so i can install more games on my ps3. so far, there is no practical advantage to doing this. this is not some kind of performance move on sony's part (well, it kind of is but read on). it is one of the very few disadvantages of including a blu-ray drive in the console. the fact is, the blu-ray drive can't access data off the disc as quick as a dvd drive can. case in point: grand theft auto...if you watch tv on the 360 version, the channels change much quicker than the ps3 version (i own both versions). i am not biased, i am not an ms fanboy, i am not a sony basher. i am just someone who is tired of being mislead and needed to vent. ps3 is a fine console and for reasons unexplainable, i personally like it better than my 360, but that said, i still believe the 360 has done a much better job this generation and is the console of choice for a true gamer at this point in time (hopefully, sony can change my opinion in the next few months). MS (to my knowledge - feel free to prove me wrong) has never made claims that were skewed or didn't come to fruition like sony has.
now, if you'll excuse me, i am gonna go play uncharted.

Easily the funniest game promo video i've ever seen. but the "well baby,im glad you asked me that" got very old, very fast. as for the game Haze itself.i wasnt even considering it.since i've only got 4GB's left on my 40GB PS3. But since im gonna buy that MGS4 bundle pack...might as well get it.the co op sounds fun.And i personaly like the rebel tactics, play dead, steal weapon.knife trick's etc etc.Comes out tommorow doesnt it..??
