Feel free to indulge your PS3 in games imported from other regions. It just loves getting a new exotic taste every so often. That's what it told us anyway. Also, it said that you smell. You might want to look into that. Release dates are constantly in a state of flux, so don't be surprised if the above info turns out to be incorrect in whole or in part. quake wars intrests me more than haze, after watching the video it looked pretty cool, i'm going to have to search out some reviews

You need to look at screens from the ps3 version. Looks like crap... like PS2 game crap. I'm gonna pass on it.
Hashbrown Hunter @ May 26th 2008 9:06AM
I have the PC version and it's graphics aren't anything special, but the multiplayer is a s**tload of fun. Longest time I've played a multiplayer demo before deciding to pick up the full game.
Give it a chance. It's multiplayer isn't for everyone (and the single-player is pretty boring) but if you can appreciate the type of fast-paced first person strategy of the game you'll find it's much higher than mediocre.
Go look at the reviews of the game and you'll see the consensus agrees with me.

GRID is out in the UK on Friday.

i read reviews for quake wars on pc a while ago and it is supposed to be very good and not mediocre like haze. still not going to buy it though which i can take a guess goes for most people.

Personally, I'm enjoying Haze. Wondering where these rebels got a SCUD launcher from though.

It's a very good PC game, sadly it's a heavily gimped port.
infekt @ May 25th 2008 10:08PM
America ofcourse! Ever see Lord of War?! Lol. jk, or am i? dum dum dummm.
Hashbrown Hunter @ May 26th 2008 9:08AM
Yeah the PC game is a great amount of fun. If anything it's worth a rental just to try out the insanely fast and intense multiplayer.
Or you can download the PC demo and most decent gaming PC's can play it since it doesn't require much in terms of system requirements. I can play it on max settings with barely any hitch.

wtf thx for spoiling

Quake wars had huge potiential on pc but it turned out it was bf2 with aliens. Considering ps3 doesnt have bf2 this could be ok.
adolson @ May 26th 2008 12:44AM
It doesn't have BF2, but in only one month's time it will have Battlefield Bad Company, and that's where my money's going, I think. It looks pretty cool. Haze, on the other hand, didn't live up to the hype or the demo (yeah, I actually liked the demo). Other than the controls, the whole game was pretty bad. I'm glad I only rented it. It lasted only a few hours, and the online competitive multiplayer was boring too. I'm glad I played it, but it could have been so much more... 6/10 is about right, if only for the controls and the fact that you can play co-op (more games need this!). But yeah, my Haze pre-order has been changed now to Battlefield. Try the demo on June 5th, at the very least. Destructible environments FTW.
Greg Pace @ May 26th 2008 2:56AM
I know BC looks pretty cool but isnt the gamemodes differnt from bf2. Its like some gold thing right? Please correct me i am consider preordering bfbc
OAKside @ May 26th 2008 4:45AM
I suspect we'll get the DICE-combat feel of BF2 (realistic but fun) with a fantastic graphics/physics engine and very intense SP story, something BF2 lovers like me (read: tired of PC's MP griefers/hackers) have wanted for years. Regarding MP, I really haven't a clue yet but I'm sure it'll be a blast. (Surprise me, DICE!) Preordered, can't wait for demo next week or so.
adolson @ May 26th 2008 12:14PM
Greg, I'm pretty sure Gold Rush is only one of a few different multiplayer modes. They're probably focusing on it because it is new and different, but I am sure there are more than just that one.
Riley Freeman @ May 26th 2008 6:24AM
wow why the hell did asia have to wait so long for a piece of crap like turok and then for rainbow six 2? while it is a vast improvement over the first one which sucked hardddddddddddddddd. the first one soured me and i was still in call of duty 4 phaze so it made it not very enjoyable
chris.westermann @ May 26th 2008 11:59AM
If you thought Quake Wars looked good, you must need glasses. The critics ripped Haze to shreds for not offering next-generation graphics, Quake Wars makes Haze look like Killzone 2.
What really got me was the rediculous transparent explosions that are simply overlayed on the rendered screen. Its like they just use a filter to simulate explosions rather then using particle physics or in-line rendered explosions. Once the explosion animation is complete, the ground and surrounding area is unaffected. Wow, this game is so not next gen its not even funny.
Mike @ May 26th 2008 3:32PM
Quake wars is terrible i got it when it came out for pc its just like battlefield (yes even the new battlefield coming out is ganna be bad)
Popfrogs @ May 26th 2008 10:28PM
Not sure about QW: ET. Guess I'll have to rent it first.
Plus, any game that quietly sneaks onto the shelves with no videos or other content months ahead of time makes me suspicious. Haze of course is an exception to this rule.
