New MGS4 scan reveals some old faces

It seems Metal Gear Solid 4 is grabbing every previously seen character that's still alive and making sure they've got a place in the new game. Take for example these two ladies, Mei Ling and Rosemary, who save your game via codec call from MGS1 and MGS2 respectively. What their roles are exactly in MGS4, we don't know. It's unlikely Rose would reprise her role as game saver, seeing as Raiden is most likely non-playable. Unless, Snake shoots himself going in one-fourth into the game and you'll end up playing as Raiden for the rest of the way. That would be an absolute riot. Of course it's not going to happen though.

I can't say I didn't expect this though. I just hope nobody confirms any spoilers I've been hearing about a certain somebody re-appearing back in the game...although I expected that one as well from the very start (MGS1).

For the longest time I had no interest in MGS4 only do to the fact I've not played any of the games (damn 40g non-backwards compatible system). Now watching the MGS Retrospective, this is truly a detailed world that sounds like it would be fun to venture in. The only problem is I suck with stealth games. Heck, I can't even sneak around in that Viking: Battle for Asgard game without being spotted. What hope do I have playing MGS4? Yet, it all looks so tempting...

Supposedly, even non-fans can enjoy the gameplay and story just the same with the focus on flashbacks and such.

And this game also apparently relies less on stealth than the rest. I say go for it.

FYI, MGS games always have a 'very very very very easy' setting. If you want to enjoy the story without the challenge, you're taken care of.

Well, we only get to see what they look like. The more important information such as what are they doing there, why, how, where and when you meet them are still a mystery. Nothing has been spoiled for you ... unless you read something previously from somewhere else. Then that's not my fault right?! =P

No mathab, it kinda is your fault. I'm not upset about it at all, but this is a significant spoiler that spoiler-wary gamers (not me) would much rather see behind an expandable posting instead of on the front page.

And frankly, this post was a gratuitous spoiler, with virtually no other possible purpose than to give us details about secrets in the game we didn't know.

Me, I'm happy to be spoiled, and I'm glad you're keeping the MGS4 hype alive, but as the game gets closer to launch, there will be several huge spoilers that I'm aware of that will ruin the game somewhat for a lot of people, so it would be a good idea to keep any future spoilers you have behind a spoiler warning. Please.
