Plenty of new songs for you Singaholics today in the latest
SingStar SingStore update. We're happy to finally see Queen's "Don't Stop Me Now" on the list, not to mention our surprise at the inclusion of The Dandy Warhol's "We Used To Be Friends." There's plenty more to see

I just dont understand why they want to lose money by not adding all these tracks to the US. I would definitely buy some of the ones in the UK only. Whats the deal Singstar!!??
William Winterfeld @ May 30th 2008 10:29AM
Probably has something to do with licensing rights to the music here in the US.
reson8er @ May 30th 2008 10:41AM
Yikes.
Unless there is a song I don't recognize by name or group, I wont be buying any of these.
It's a shame too, as I am really looking for new songs to buy.
Maybe I'd break down and buy "Yellow", but if not for the lack of material, it probably would be like a 3rd or 4th choice. /sigh

Concerning the German songs, there's a sh*tload of unbearable crap that's been unloaded upon the Singstore with the last few updates. Party music – alright, but who is downloading DJ Bobo, Mark Medlock, and the likes of that?
But it's all about variety I guess. Anyway, this is the update that emptied my wallet the most as of yet. Currently downloading 5 songs! Where are the Oasis tracks, btw?
Dr. Strangepork @ May 30th 2008 10:50AM
Ok, that does it . . .
*putting in order for SingStar today*
Looks like a lot of fun and tons of songs to buy overall from this update and others.
I'm off Karaoke Revolution

Consider me impressed!

Singstar was a hit at the house on Memorial Day. Nothing like gettin' your Grandmother to do "I Just Died in Your Arms Tonight"

You can access the other Singstores just by changing the language under your options. This gives you access to dozens of other songs. Even the Spanish stores has tons of songs in English. I have downloaded several songs from the different Singstores...
nahworry @ May 30th 2008 1:03PM
Yeah, but not quite correct. If you're changing the language settings in-game (after pressing L2 for options, all the way down on the list) songs in other languages that are available on the current Singstore will be displayed.
But to access other countries' Singstores you will have to have the appropriate foreign PSN accounts (with an address in the UK and the like), log into those and start the game. Too bad the game is still not out in Japan (where's the JPop?).
Herby @ May 30th 2008 5:09PM
Yeah but even if you do login to the foreign stores you can't buy the songs unless you have some type of foreign credit card or PSN Card.
Herby @ May 30th 2008 5:02PM
Damn I hate to say it but I am going to have to skip buying any songs. I want to support the game. These songs are dismal for me. I don't mind buying pop songs if they are at least decent. I hate the two Avril songs they got. I might buy Amedeus, but that is a big might. I hate US records companies. They are ruining there own business. But I am not the first to say that in a long time and definitely not the last.
skylinekiller @ May 30th 2008 5:10PM
Yeah I bought all 203 songs for our PS3 at work and its a sucky download system. 1st, I can only put 15 in my cart, then i have to check out, and re-ad funds in my wallet every $150 dollars. Then choose automatic download. Every now and then I get disconeected from the sing store and I have to manually click on every song to continue the download. They should have had an option to purchase all songs. Took 7 hours to complete and download. But I will have to agree with the choice of songs. Sounds like our shitty U.S. music laws.
Michael @ May 30th 2008 6:10PM
Did anyone not find Good Charlotte? It isn't on the SingStar when I sign in. I'm US and have a US PSN account.
linebeginstoblur @ May 30th 2008 8:27PM
Hey, PS3 Fanboy, I'm still waiting to find the Depeche Mode songs you promised would be there at launch...
The_Black_Circle @ May 30th 2008 9:27PM
Me and my GF bought this game last night, played it until the early morn. It's a blast. Not sure if the servers on the North American side are handling all the traffic very well, took about 2 hrs to download 3 songs (50-75MB each).
This is a new game so maybe the traffic wasn't properly estimated.
I as well would like some of the European songs.
Does anybody know if you have a PSN account set up for the UK whether or not you can access the other songs?
