PixelJunk Eden will support YouTube uploading
Japanese site Watch Impress has a new batch of screenshots showing more of the gorgeous art style of upcoming PSN game PixelJunk Eden. Not only that, but they include a few exciting tid bits of info regarding the game. Specifically, they mention that the soundtrack consists of almost 100 minutes of specially recorded music by Kyoto-based artist Baiyon.
The game will also include 3-player co-op play (no online, presumbly) as well as trophies and remote play support. Perhaps most intriguing, however, is the mention of screen recording and YouTube uploading compatibility. This was recently added to the PS3 SDK but we didn't expect to see it integrated into new games so quickly. PixelJunk Eden comes out sometime this Summer and you can bet your bottom dollar we'll be grabbing it day one. Will you?

Without a doubt, day one buy for me.

I should also mention that the newest podcast of the 1up Show is a round-table discussion with Dylan Cuthbert of PixelJunk, Jonathan Mak of Everyday Shooter, and a gentleman (forget his name) from Valve all talking about games and what inspires them to make the games they do.
Its a really good episode (which is rare) and I think anyone interested in these innovative industry people should give it a look.

I still have no clue what this game is about, lol. Apparently something cool enough to warrant youtube uploading.

I've been waiting for something like this on the Xbox 360, but I see Sony beat them to it. I'll buy it if for no other reason than to play with that feature.

I am curious to see this game. I have been playing PixelJunk Monsters a lot lately. Any mention of a demo? I would hate to spend money and be disappointed like I was with Jaffe's Calling All Cars. PixelJunk Racers wasn't all that great either so it could really go either way.
If they would redo the art style in Monsters I wouldn't mind all that much either. ;)

Wish they'd add Youtube uploading to Warhawk
McKey1991 @ Jun 4th 2008 1:49PM
Why not uploading to Crackle? It's Sony's own video sharing site and it isn't as crappy as YouTube.
Popfrogs @ Jun 4th 2008 3:25PM
Yeah I don't see how this is going to work right. Our junky PS3 browser can't handle any versions of Flash made since 2005 or so. We're just lucky that Youtube allows ancient versions of Flash for their videos...for now.
McKey1991 @ Jun 4th 2008 3:41PM
Well Sony is going to need for Adobe format the newest Flash players for the PS3 and put into a firmware update.

I will absolutely buy this first day! I love the 'flOw' look to the game, as well as the gameplay dynamics and the music. I just wish there weren't time limits to the levels, it takes away from the organic feel of the game. I don't care if you get time bonuses for getting certain objects. I would hate to feel rushed playing such a beautiful game...

PJMonsters has basically sold me on the entire PixelJunk series for now. First day buy for me.
StevenRafael @ Jun 4th 2008 2:39PM
Three player co op? That's an odd number.
Scout Rush @ Jun 4th 2008 2:39PM
Day 1 for me. I love the music.
