Ferrari game heats up this summer
Publisher Activision and developer System 3 are bringing a new Ferrari racing game to the PlayStation 3 this summer. Dubbed Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli, the game will include 15 international racing circuits and 16-player online play. The most interesting feature is in the planned DLC whereby players can download new content and update "official teams and car rosters ... to reflect real-world lineups."
If you're really interested, you can try out the PS3 version of the game this weekend at the Montreal Grand Prix (June 6-8); playable kiosks will be open to everyone. If you're lazy to head up to Canada or just feel strange going to foreign lands, then check out the game's official website for more details and some shots of the cars in the game. Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli is slated for a Summer 2008 release on the PS3 as well as the PS2, Wii, and DS.

Looks good for a non GT5 game. I hope this is like the Ferarri game that Sega released for the Dreamcast a good few years back. I think System 3 are new here for development. Despite the new dev. group, this should be good.

Straight to the bargain bin

Bargain bin?
I doubt it. It looks pretty nice. Plus, a lot of magazines are giving it praise. So we'll see.

Im really looking forward to this. I didn't like GRID at all so I am hoping this will be a decent racer to complement GT5:P

Any racing game with VIR (North circuit) get's my money
I did the Keith Code Superbike School at VIR (one of the tracks included in the FC game) based on the vid at the game site, VIR looks close but seems a lot flatter then I remember. Cresting over the hill at the top of the track and blasting throught the rollercoster section made me gulp every lap.
The last corner that leads on the the front straight seem too slow as well. If I remember correctly that was 4th gear conrer on a 600, Granted a bike can take a better line, but I'd come in. little brake, lean the bike over, clip the curb and then lots of gas.
FYI I would reach about 130 mph on the front stright (which is very, very long) before I ran out of courage on the school's Ninja ZX-6Rs. Sportbikes are crazy, crazy fun.

This game doesnt get much attention.
I cant remember the name of the dude, but he is an avid sony and ferarri fan. He has put his money towards creating this game, the graphics look slick and one can hope the gameplay is too.
Not on 360 either ;)
