Soulcalibur IV adds one more lightsaber to roster
No, you're not seeing things, and no we haven't made a gargantuan mistake by having a Star Wars: The Force Unleashed pic on a Soulcalibur IV story. It, basically, is the story. For you see, according to Gamespot, not only is Darth Vader making his way into the PS3 version of Soulcalibur IV, but his dark apprentice will be following close behind. However, the apprentice will be the only guest Star Wars character to go multiplatform as both Vader and Yoda will remain console exclusives.
It's quite interesting to see all these cross-genre, cross-developer crossovers. Another prominent one is Assassin's Solid. We wonder which two developers will unite and surprise us next.

This is a welcomed addition to the roster.

I'm happy about this...
But why can't Yoda be added as DLC? I'll pay between 2.99 to 4.99 for him. It sounds crazy but hey I'm a star wars fan. The same goes for the 360 crowd they can get Vader as DLC.
It's not like yoda and vader have system preferences. Namco shouldn't have to do this in the age of DLC. It's pointless. I mean players would be happy to since they can have the best of everything.
Now if it was Master Chief and Snake this yes it would be ok. Since they are console specific charcters. But Yoda and Vader are movie icons not console mascots.
Namco you will fail in my book if you do not add Yoda as DLC in the PS 3 version and Vader for the 360.

Well, there can be only one... so no multi-platform :)

How about chuck norris.

that just would be imba, just do one roundhouse and the entire game would be completed, blow up your console, and your tv. Also at the risk of the entire universe as the kick bends the fabric of time itself...
The ps3 even with its computational power would be unable to comprehend the epicness of chuck norris...
When the movies were made they had to use special effects to lessen the impact of chuck norrise's moves to make it seem more realistic for the audience...

Plus there is no way that even with the might of the PS3 cell processor could they render even one hair of his beard.

I like the fact that only PS3 users get duel between Darth and his new apprentice. Can't wait!

i would laugh if the xbox gets luke skywalker...

@aditya
i think it would be funnier if the 360 received another short character, like a totally nerfed, young podracing anakin back in the episode 1 days, but with no light saber and no force powers.
Emophia @ Jun 8th 2008 9:29AM
Niiiiiiiiiiiiiice.

interesting? yes. welcome? no.
the SC lore is steeped in medieval themes, with ancient spanish treasure halls, french renaissance architecture, suits of armor, samurai, ninjas, dukes and dutchesses.
i like star wars as much as the next guy, but would a LandSpeeder fit into GRID? or would a tie fighter fit into WarHawk?
