So this 'PSP' thing is doing pretty well in Japan
We don't know what's wrong with the Japanese kids these days. They're into this thing called ... PSP? What is that? We hear that if ingested improperly, "PSP" can cause all sorts of brain damage. Don't do it because all your cool friends are doing it!- PSP: 71,986

You could be right, and it may be true. But that dosn't change the fact of how I feel about it. Alot of my cousins have 360, and friends. So I get to play it fairly enough. The only title I like on it that isn't on the other consols is gears of war. Everything else I choose PS3 over. I'm sure most of the japanese are quite disapointed with their 360. If not i'm sure they just enjoy the quality online play even though their community can care less for online.

The japanese don't care bout the 360 because they don't like FPSs. And over 50% of the 360 games are indeed, shooters.

Honestly, PSP might lack titles in the english market, but in the japanese? Its loaded. While nintendo lacks titles -everywhere-. Sure, you have zelda and mario remakes, but after going through them? fuuuck every system they make. (of course each system has two or three worth playing titles like wii has brawl and DS has ace attorney, but afterwards it turns into a nice paper holder)

PS have always do well at the pacific. Cause over here we don't have sony. they just need to pump in some japanese style games and it will make it to the top. even with PS3 which is surprisingly lack of japanese style game. what is sony thinking anyway? don't they wanna make money with their ps3 and kick that 360 out of japan for good?

I love my PSP and i love my NDS. (a little bit more, sometimes) but this selling frenzy that the PSP is going through won't last much longer. There's a little game called, Dragon Quest IX that's coming to the NDS in a couple of months or whenever it gets released.
So that's all i have to say about that.
The PSP doesn't have that game. And you know how much the Japanese love them some Dragon Quest. An besides, everyone already owns NDS. It really doesn't need to sell anymore. lol Nintendo has made so much money off the DS over the years. The PSP is finally start to catch up. But it's already too late, IMO. The DS behemoth has done it's damage.

Japan loves them some Birth By Sleep, and Dissidia. NDS is great, I love mine to death, just as much as my PSP. I think the japanese feel the same way. So hush hush and let be.

Hahaha, what a coincidence!
At the beginning of the school year, my school showed us a video depicting the rules. One of the rules was "no electronics," and they listed some devices like iPods, phones, and some "PCP" device, with a picture of a pink PSP shown. We made fun of that pretty much all year.

Alot of it we don't get, true. I feel that Japan dosn't understand how much we appreciate alot of the games they don't release here. >;( So it causes people like me to start hoplaplxing. ;)

The problem is Japanese games don't sell as well as they do in...umm...Japan. Which is why Japanese devs are reluctant to bring them to other places. It also doesn't help that good psp games don't sell as well they should. ex. Crisis Core. If all of us embraced RPGs like how we do FPSs, then I don't think this problem would be as big as it is right now.
I've always wanted to learn the Japanese, and now I'm even more inclined to do so. Then I could start importing games like nobody's business.

Well said, it's quite obvious to even the people who don't play games religiously. Alot of Japanese games are related to other things most people in America wouldn't understand and thats why they never sold, or they were just to out of this world for us. But I think today gamers and even some of the "people" have more appreciation for Japanese titles. And Japan has been more open to us lately but I still want more.

Man I knew psp would be great! I traded in my worthless paperweight Nintendo DS to get a ps3 game [uncharted] and got a psp [big one-my brother] for 50$. He got the new silver one anyway. It seems my brothers have also traded in their DS to. I got to say PSP is great-Driver 76,MGS PO, and Burnout Revenge is great. Those beat the DS out of the water. ANd they do so in japan!

My friends PSP is dead. DEAD. Understand? I paid all these monies to buy it but it sucks. No gaming, no nothing. Realy waste! I try to sell it to the bazzaar and buy a DS. Buy buy PSP
