Kingdom Hearts trailer, back online with subtitles

Square Enix is notorious for being overly secretive about its upcoming projects. Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep, the upcoming PSP addition to the popular Disney franchise, has been no different. When a new trailer leaked to the web, Square Enix's ninjas destroyed the video.

Well, it looks like a new vid is making its way through the web, this time with English subtitles. However, considering how cryptic the story of Birth by Sleep is right now, maybe the translation doesn't help too much! Regardless, we're excited (and we hope this trailer doesn't get taken down too soon).

terra and riku make reference to the japanese words for earth/ground. this is the same for the roxas-looking guy, ven, which relates to sora, and the girl, aqua, relating to kairi ;)

I hate the writing in these games. Friends, hearts, darkness, truth, lies, nothing but bland buzzwords with no character development or coherent storytelling. But they're really fun to play...

No kidding. I was alright with it in KH, but I lost all interest halfway through KH2. The combat wasn't very thrilling to me, so without an interesting story I lost the will to play it. I hope this one's a bit better!

Hm, checking metacritic it appears I'm in the minority as KH2 earned higher marks. Oh well!

i loved the kh2 story, thought it was much more interesting and 'square-enix' than the first's disney aspects. it took on a more serious approach i felt.

enjoyed them both mind you :)

lol, I do agree that Mass Effect was boring. But KH is utter garbage. I'm sure you can appreciate good writing when you see it, unless you can't recognize crap. Look to Xenogears, or Chrono Trigger for good writing. FF6 and FF7 are both fine examples too. Even KH 1 wasn't half bad, it was a simple plot but it stuck to it instead of going off in 40 million directions that it couldn't handle properly. I agree KH writing has turned way too complicated for its own good, but I still enjoy the games =)

Oh and Xenogears... that was a masterpiece. I really miss the characters and all about that game. Don't get me started on how I hated Xenosaga tho...

i gotta say, i dont see much resemblance to zack, people keep saying that but zack looks awesome lol, that coming from me with a hundred hours on crisis core.

what does intrigue me is that they mentioned xeanort, and i think thats what they called the bald man? he must've grown a bit of hair between games ey lol, unless its not him.....
