Sorry this post is a bit late but
SingStar has been, quite frankly, the last thing on our mind over the last day or say. Regardless, the SingStore
has been updated with another eclectic collection of songs -- most of which we've never heard of. Business as usual, then. Again, Europe has bragging rights over the number of new tracks when compared to America. That's 25 versus 16 this week, for those keeping score at home. From the looks of things, Americans aren't missing out on much this week except, sadly, another Queen song. Check after the break for the full release list; tracks are available in Europe only, unless stated otherwise.

I'm surprised you haven't heard of most of the bands on this list. Having said this, having not heard of the Rasmus or HIM is probably a blessing. MIA = awesome though.

Is there anyway to get the songs not available in the US in the US? I know that sounds like a stupid question, but there is always ways around things like this, right?

Using a European account should do the trick (provided you have an accepted payment method available, but most people wouldn't own an overseas credit card, or would they?). Got relatives around the globe? Ones that would trust you with their CC info?

God these songs suck. I really hope there's something in the works for better US SingStore content. Otherwise I can get rid of this now and pick up MGS4. Never got into the series, but maybe now's a good time.

Theres a few more in there that was added but not specified as new. For example, Avril has 2 more up there for a total of 4. Plus a few others

I think they should do what Americans really want: television theme songs.
I'm serious: a song pack with "Gilliagan's Island", "Green Acres", "Charles in Charge", etc would sell gangbusters.
Actually there are a lot of "serious" songs that could be included as well "Where Everybody Knows your Name", "Believe it Or Not", etc
We'd also need a special pack of just cartoon theme songs... Barenaked Ladies does a GREAT a capalla version of "Road Runner".

I think if the store can put out 2-4 songs every two weeks for my US account, that should be plenty. They should have a lot to draw on from the existing PS2 games (which I don't have).
It would be great to have more for the US store, but 2-4 each time is all me and my bank account could take.

Singstore needs to seriously step it up with their song selections.
