New screenshots of Siren: Blood Curse
Sony is trying to redefine the scope of a digitally distributed game. Warhawk and Gran Turismo 5 Prologue are both great PSN offerings that combine high production values and a low retail cost. The upcoming episodic survival horror game, SIREN: Blood Curse, looks to continue this trend.
A new batch of screenshots were released by SCEA, and they look stunning. With WipEout HD and SOCOM Confrontation also in the works, it looks like PSN will have some truly big heavy-hitters this year.

am i the only one who thinks the graphics so far look way better than silent hill, and the game looks scarier? I am a HUGE silent hill fan, so i'm a bit disappointed that this game looks better. look at the water effects in one of the screens, it's awesome! Maybe it's just me, but there's something more satisfying about beating humanoid zombies than monsters.

Nope, your not alone (in the dark) at all. This game is looking MUCH better than the new Silent Hill. Remember, this was made in part by the original Silent Hill team. This remake looks to be doing all the right things, try out the demo on the Japanese PS store, you won't be dissapointed (I think).

I didn't have much interest in this game until I found out it was going to be released in chapters on PSN, and there was a demo available on the Japanese store. I checked out the demo and was impressed with what I saw, so I'll likely pick it up when it comes out.
I also like the idea of chapters being released for a game. I can't tell you how many games I have that I haven't finished, at least this way I won't have paid the full price for a game I won't finish.

Yes this looks better than silent hill 5 (both graphically and game play). It is also made by the director of the original Silent Hill, my favorit survival horror game, and the original Siren, which I haven't finished yet but has very creepy the atmosphere. This new one looks like it improves on all problems with the original. I'm downloading the demo of the Japanese PSN right now... I also like the episodic format, as long as the price is right (12 episodes x $5.00= $60.00, duh...)
