fav moment was in MGS 1 , just playing against Psycho Mantis was pure fun . it added a new dimension to gameplay as we knew it . the controller being moved across the floor , having your memory card read , and having to switch controller ports , really caused alot of chaos . it is by far the most memorable moment in gaming .

my favourite mgs moment was in metal gear solid 1 for ps1... when youre fighting psycho mantis he tries proving to you that he has psychic powers... and then he tells you to put your controller on the floor... you listen... and then he says i'll make it move... and it vibrates... i love that one part... i loved it like 8-12 years ago when i beat the first time... and i love it again while im playing it through my ps3 :D great feature....:D PS3 RULES IN-GAME XMB ANNOUNCED ON PS.BLOG FINALLY!!! WOOHOO

My fav MGS Moment will always be the encounter with ninja as he slays those soilders in the hallway before you fight him in the room with otacon. And how intense that scene was to show ninjas anger and pain.

Perhaps the most powerful moment in all of the series (but who knows, I obviously haven't played MGS4 yet!) is the final duel with The Boss in MGS3. Kojima hit all the right buttons in that fight, ending it with something that actually stirred emotions (besides pissed off that Volgin beat me up the first 3 tries): Having to "pull the trigger" myself. Brilliant move.

I think my favorite moment in Metal Gear Solid 3 is when you're climbing that ladder and the theme song starts fading in. That's when I realized how well-done this game was; a true cinematic experience.

i always tend to get emotional with the metal gear games as all of them have parts which can bring a grown man to his knees crying. MY favorite part is in metal gears solid 1 when Frank Jaeger sacrifices himself to give snake that last chance he needs to take liquid down. I still haven't gotten Metal gear solid 4 but i am hoping this will be my chance. I think many would share the same favorite seen, but this is deffinitly my personal favorite. Godbless you Kojima!

I really think it was the beginning of MGS1. With sub approaching and snake coming out all to the back ground of a spine tingling soundtrack. It was at that moment that I realized games could be more then collecting power ups and searching for extra lives.
This was the first game I ever played that blurred the line between game and a "moving experience". Its still my favorite to this day.

I have mant favorite moments in the MGS series. But i really like in MGS1 when it first shows solid snake in 3D. and all the action he performs. My most favorite ones are from 4 but we cant talk about that.

I would have to say the scene that started this whole quadrilogy. The scene that I recall with crystal clarity is of Snake swimming in scuba gear at the very beginning of MGS 1.

well i cant really pick just one theres so many
so i will talk about to of course the mgs1 battle with phsyco
mantis it broke the 3rd wall
and the mgs2 part at the end with naked raiden everything starts messing up
and all the codec messages where just classic "I hear its amazing when the famous purple stuffed worm in flap-jaw space with the tuning fork does a raw blink on Hari Kiri Rock. I need scissors! 61! it was just genius

My favourite moment is in Metal Gear Solid 3, the fight against The Boss may be the most beautiful and amazing fights I have seen in any game.
Everything is so perfect - the style, the music and the actual combat.

my favorite moment (qoute) is in Metal Gear Solid 2 when Snakes hidesin the locker and calls Otacon on the Codec

Favorite moment: Near the end of MGS2 they reveal that the scenario of the whole game is modeled after MGS1's story. I was kinda stunned.

Amusingly, as much as I love the games, my favorite moment was due to some bad translation. In the original game, near the beginning, you climb into a truck, which then proceeds to leave the area. The text? "The truck have begun to move!" I've always been a fan of bad translation, and for whatever reason, that one has always stuck with me.
