G1 Jockey 4 2008 hits Europe in September

G1 Jockey 4 2008 is a horse racing simulator. It's a horse racing simulation without the gambling ... which means half the fun of the sport is gone. Details on the game are scarce; however, taking assumptions from the "4" in the title, this could be a slightly tweaked version of the two year old PS2 title. That ... doesn't sound too good. The game is out September 26.

I too downloaded this from the PSN. I don't think it was a bad game, but I found that I didn't like it thanks to my inability to figure out how to win. I could be in first, middle, or last, place and then in the end I'd always lose. Drove me nuts. I guess I just didn't understand the controls.

Yeah but with it's online play it's going to be a hit...according
to the new Sony mantra....not!
What a bunch of bs.

Why do people feel the need to slag a game they haven't played and have no interest in? The way I see it is that the more niche games released for the PS3 the better as they maybe more than big 'generic' games has a chance to pull in more people to our platform of choice. I know people for instance who couldn't care less about games like Halo, Resistance, Metal Gear, Final Fantasy etc., but who bought their PS3 to play the sport game of their choice. So if this horse racing game brings in a some horse racing fans to our community why do the rest of us have to be down on that?

I'll only get this if a robotic voice says "place your bets now please" before playing a chirpy tune and ending with a crappy sounding starting gun.
fish and chips are optional

You all really need to accept there is a market for it.
I love the series on the ps2. I have 3 of the titles. They are highly addictive and simple to play.
Plus it is a shit load of fun playing your mates whilst drinking.
With online play I hope the capabilities of every rider being a real user will make this game fantastic.
Its cheap Brand new at half the price of most games.
Bargain game which is great fun!!!

im just beginning mgs4 having played about an hour so far. it looks gorgeous and sounds better than most games as well. im not thrilled about the long cut scenes but i hear its worth putting up with. this feels like a true next gen game. theres no way that the 360 could have pulled this off.

I like CoD4, MGS, Madden etc as much as the next guy, but games like G1 Jockey are a rare gem. Yes they wont sell as many copies as some of the mainstream cross platform games, but it will sell copies to genuine fans of this platform.
Bottom line if you dont want it dont buy it, but dont slag it till you have played it and by that I mean actually played it, not just downloaded a demo version off the store, and if your unsure about it why not chance your arm and part with some cash for a budget title
