When the hell is Wipeout HD coming out? next week? Didn't they say it would be out in May or June? so it better be out next week.

I played the Fatal Inertia EX demo when it first hit JApan PStore 2 wks ago or whenever it was. It's pretty good i'd drop 19.99 for it in an instant, dunno about 29.99 though
Tim Parsons @ Jun 19th 2008 6:58PM
yeah the Japan one didn't recognize my save either(Canada), i guess it's region coded
StevenRafael @ Jun 19th 2008 7:43PM
Ugh! Why the hell did I buy Novastrike? The Wolf of the Battlefield Commando 3 demo blows it out of the water!
Not saying that it's a great game, but I bet it'd be a blast to play with friends.
This week's update is pretty sweet.
Elsnerma @ Jun 19th 2008 7:58PM
Five bucks seems a little steep for one HSG course.
Also, it's pretty cool that Hulk is getting free DLC. Not that anyone would actually buy the game, but cool nonetheless.

It's an even bigger gip when the entire course file is only 100KB - that means you're paying $5 to unlock a course that's stored on the disc. Weak. I thought Sony was better than to let Developers pull this mess on the PSN; I got more than my fill of it on the XBLM, thank you.

Looks like Sony is really capitalizing on MGS4, this is possibly the most content-filled PSN update I've seen since I got my PS3 back in Dec. 07, A very good strategy and way to please fans new and old. Free updates to Pain, 4 demos! and some nice videos. Great stuff.
I'm enjoying MGS4 immensly, but it's nice to be able to see what I have to look forward to when taking "breaks".
With solid updates like this and 2.40 firmware coming soon, Sony is really starting to shine.
2.40 I believe is the next update, that's why they posted about it on the PS blog to get excitement ramped up before the big update. They held off mentioning anything about in game XMB, trophies, and "other features" until now. It's coming very soon, you can count on it.
Tim Parsons @ Jun 19th 2008 8:53PM
FYI: that MGS4 DataBase wasn't made by Sony so what are your referring to exactly?
I can't be so optimistic,. I wouldnt be surprised if they run 2.37,2.38 and 2.39 by us over the next few months b4 bringing out 2.40, though i'd love to be wrong,. but doutb it
anthonyjh @ Jun 19th 2008 9:13PM
Considering that 2.4 has been confirmed as the next update, I don't think you have much to worry about.
Tim Parsons @ Jun 19th 2008 9:30PM
@11 anthonyjh
when/where have/has SONY confirmed it was the "Next" Firmware update? They comfirmed it containing Trophies and in-Game XMB plus Extras yes, "Next" update not that i've seen.
Jason @ Jun 19th 2008 9:28PM
$4.99 for one course is a frigging rip-off.
The fact that Hot Shots on the PS3 only came with six to begin with makes this price a total slap in the face.
Seriously, five dollars for one course? That's just ridiculous.
Tim Parsons @ Jun 19th 2008 9:46PM
yeah that's alot for 1
Justin N. @ Jun 20th 2008 5:33AM
See comment #8 - it's more than a slap to the face when you're paying $5 to unlock a course stored on the disc. Sony's got the file size listed on their blog at 100KB, and even if it was 100MB, that's still too small for an entirely new course.
We got gipped.
grammasofranek @ Jun 19th 2008 9:31PM
anyone try the ncaa 09 demo? i thought it was pretty good acually. the lighting was excellent.
El Tiante @ Jun 19th 2008 10:59PM
The FI demo is ORDERS OF MAGNITUDE better than the one that show up last year on the 360. Better graphics, better controls, better tracks, better weapons and a tutorial.
Still with Wipeout HD right around the corner, I think I'll hold on to my $30
Amos @ Jun 20th 2008 1:00AM
I was pleasantly surprised by the Fatal Inertia demo. So much better than the 360 version.
Devin @ Jun 20th 2008 11:12AM
WTF is Linger in Shadows? That had to be the most bizarre, confusing trailer ever. What is the game about?
Aarrowgant @ Jun 20th 2008 12:40PM
I picked up the FI GAME. I have always loved these types of games since ROCK & ROLL Racing on the SNES- anybody remember that gem? Anyway- hope to see you guys online tonight when I fire it up for multiplayer!
