The Patriot is hard as hell to get: Successfully complete the game on The Boss Exteme, using no continues, getting no Alert Phases, killing no enemies, using no Rations/Regain/Noodles, the stealth camo, or the Bandana, and have a completion time of five hours or less. For acquiring this Emblem you are also rewarded the Patriot, the Big Boss FaceCamo, and the Big Boss iPod Song.

I think the hardest part of the Big Boss Extreme mode will be the 5 hour time limit. I'm on my 2nd playthrough on Big Boss Hard and I am on act 3 and already over the 5 hour mark.
Popfrogs @ Jun 19th 2008 10:56AM
That's insane. I'd have to watch some speedruns before even considering that.
leiwei @ Jun 19th 2008 3:59PM
Someone on gamefaqs was able to pull that off. They even included a link to the screen cap of their achievement. here's the link

"The Sorrow" and "Psycho Mantis" weapons look awesome too although I don't know how they are unlocked. Well they're more doll's then weapons, but picking people up and chucking them about looks pretty cool!
Dark Archon @ Jun 19th 2008 11:24AM
You don't unlock them. You 'receive' them during the last act of the game.
Popfrogs @ Jun 19th 2008 10:30AM
Hmm, I wondered why the flintlock was so damn expensive.
Oh and to people wanting to save up DP for these weapons, just alert enemies and kill the floods coming towards you. Or, later in the game, kill tons of the unmanned boogers. You get points for killing them and points for their guns (which don't always stick around after you kill waves of them).
Xoonaka @ Jun 19th 2008 12:07PM
According to the Strategy Guide, though, it seems like there are tons more points to be had just by finishing the missions. Something like 100,000 points assuming you do it well.
...although, the killing waves of enemies is likely easier. But I think the mission thing might be faster and more enjoyable overall.

You get 20,000DP (or 200,000 - can't remember) for no kills.

Looking the tornadozooka

Wow, awesome...
That solar gun reminds me of that gameboy game where you had a solar powered something or another and to charge it you actually had to play the game outside and let the solar panel on the top of the cartridge be in the sun light. I never played the game, but I remember reading about it.

Yup, Boktai. Another Kojima-produced bit of fun.
Denkigrve @ Jun 19th 2008 1:25PM
Boktai, developed by Kojima coincidentally.
Denkigrve @ Jun 19th 2008 1:26PM
Err produced. Words fail me today. Just beat MGS4 last night, and my brain is now mush trying to think about it all.
BRAYAN @ Jun 19th 2008 1:20PM

BRAYAN @ Jun 19th 2008 1:27PM
hay waz up is there in other way u can gat the stealth camo or the bandana?
Armani @ Jun 19th 2008 1:53PM
The Solar Gun IS from Boktai.
Popfrogs @ Jun 19th 2008 2:44PM
I like the way Kojima is always referencing his other games in MGS. I think in MGS4 he has some policenauts stuff, ZoE stuff, etc. He did the same in MGS2 but I don't remember anything in MGS3 since it was a prequel set during the 60's.
John S @ Jun 19th 2008 3:33PM
Anyone know which gun is the 'T3'? People were saying on some blog that this was their favorite weapon because it was so powerful. No idea which gun it is though.
Chris Hussain @ Aug 14th 2008 3:22PM
I have all 3 of those weapons and i still cannot get the litty gray emblem (req. get 69 unique weapon types) :o
I think i have 67 tho thats including colours of smoke grenades seeing as they do take up a slot each in the weapon section during the game.
And i had no idea that ancient thing could cause such a fuss outside! I shot it once in the middle of an empty room and after it took a few hours to reload i just thought its worth was just something interesting to have and an extra 1 to the litty gray.
