This is not flame-bait but do people really rely on the weekly PSN update to determine what they'll be playing the following week ?
Ok, so there's not a lot here this week and, yes, there are games available on other PSN stores that have yet to come to the European edition but why the furor over a lack of content?
Back in my day - we didn't have digital delivery and you relied on MOVING to the store to get your games.
And this outcry for PS1 games. I just don't get it. I loved PS1 games ... when the PS1 was the best thing out there. Are we really spending time playing PS1 games these days?
Maybe I'm just jealous as, if people are moaning about a lack of PS1 games to play, they're obviously done playing all their PS3 and PS2 games. And I, for one, have about 10 PS3 games (and buckets of PS2 games) just sitting there laughing at me for not playing them.

Brodie-san this is true. But there are some title that are great to have most 2d one. Let's say Samurai Sowdown this is a great title to have in PS3 and I bet that people are going to enjoy it.
For me Sony must release 2D PS1 games cause the 3D have aged to much.

Hey Haramanai ... I agree that Samurai Showdown is a great game. I used to play that game for hours but I'm just curious why people rely on a digital delivery platform to sate their 2D retro gaming fetishes.
If you want to play Samurai Showdown you can. It's not that hard to pick up. Maybe it's because I still have my PS1 (and PS2) boxed away. If I wanted to play these games I could with very little trouble. You can pick up most PS1 games second hand for a few euro - probably cheaper than the download cost the PSN is asking for. I'm not relying on a lottery of what Sony is going to deliver on a week by week basis. That said, I'm exclusively playing PS3 and PSP games at the moment and can never see myself downloading a PS1 game from the PSN (maybe Ergheiz but only because I imported that years ago, brought it to a "friend's" house who then claims some other guy was in his house and stole it - I never actually got to play it).
If you really want to play Chrono Cross or FFVII or Einhander or Vagrant Story (or whatever) again that badly - do so. You don't have to wait for the PSN update which MIGHT deliver exactly what you're looking for.

It's on a 3 month exclusivity deal with 360 at the moment :(
By my reckoning it should be out end of August but can't find a definite date...

It would be nice to have some more PS1 games like MGS or even Twisted Metal and Warhawk, which have been on the US store for ages.
You would think that Sony would be nicer to Europe seeing that we are the most loyal to them.

MGS and a HUGE list of PS games are missing, undoubtedly.
Not sure why they're taking quite so long, as I'm sure they'll rake in the cash at a time when Sony definitely needs it. I guess it's more complicated than I thought, or they have no idea what they're doing ... one of those.

Japan seems to be the only country with reasonable copyright laws. Sony has stated in their official blog that licensing issues in different territories is what holds up the PS1 releases. That also explains why Japan has a heap of PS1 games on the store, while the US has only a handful.

I am starting to believe that Sony thinks that Americans are better online costomers from the Europeans. And by the acounts and the downloads from the stores this is true cause to many Europeans got American acounts. Some just to download demos 1 or 2 weeks before the EU and others to purcase games that will be on the EU store after some months or never like some PS1 games.

I have a usa 'account' so I can get the demos, vids etc early but I thought I couldnt use a UK credit card to buy psn games.... are you saying I can??????????

Yes you can but not with your original card. There is one or more sites that you can give your card and create a virtual one this virtual card does not have cuntry and adress information so you can buy from America. I don't remember the name of the site cause as Sony opened in November a Greek store I deleted the American and UK acount and rebought some of the best psn games.

I dont care about PS1 games, my biggest question is: Where the hell is elefunk? I've been waiting ages for it to come to the PSN the uk PS site stated that it would be released today, but no elefunk for us!
This seriously pisses me of, if it got delayed why didnt sony sayed so? Then atleast it wouldnt be a big surprise this time around it comes out of nowhere!
Give us some elefunk!!
