Naruto demo available exclusively in Qore next month
Doesn't Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm look absolutely stunning? Namco Bandai's PS3 exclusive anime fighter brings cel-shaded graphics to a whole new level. While the game isn't scheduled for release until the end of this year, subscribers to Qore will be able to get their hands on an exclusive playable demo next month. Even this early on, the game looks beautiful, with full 3D fights -- new to the Ultimate Ninja series.
Unfortunately, it doesn't appear the game will ship with online multiplayer. But, that's what the inevitable sequels are for, right?
[Thanks, Noshino!]

This game looks great, i may get it when its cheaper, but of course it all depends on how good the demo is, but i hope u can go aroudn the city and do missions that don't involve fighting
frankym @ Jun 27th 2008 4:39PM
I see Qore is turning into an annoying little project on Sony's part.
Now we will be nickel and dimed for all exclusive demos and "betas" which are nothing more than demos which you pay to play. Guess they have to recoup those $3.2 billion somehow.
Hashbrown Hunter @ Jun 27th 2008 5:57PM
Honestly, I'd be going off on Sony and screaming at them to shutdown the Qore project but you're right, they have to make up for those losses somehow. Sure, games will help but Qore is going directly to Sony's pocket and while that may sound like a bad thing, they are in serious need of it.
Bdub? @ Jun 27th 2008 6:16PM
No it doesn't, Qore is a digital magazine that is not made by Sony.
leiwei @ Jun 28th 2008 2:44AM
I don't see how Qore is a bad thing. It's unnecessary, but at the same time it's like how you get to play some demos ahead of time if you have a Live! gold membership compared to people w/ just Silver.
Josh @ Jun 29th 2008 1:55PM
Qore = Xbox Live Gold membership
Look, we don't need this. Avoiding a subscription fee to get the most of the online service is one of the major reasons I bought a PS3 over a 360. Please, for people like me, don't subscribe to Qore...Don't let Sony get any more greedy.
Josh @ Jul 3rd 2008 10:07PM
Everyone, I caved in. I'm sorry. On the bright side, I didn't buy a full-out subscription to Qore, but I did purchase episode 2, just to get this demo.
Under normal circumstances, I probably would have waited until July 17, the day the demo will be released to everybody for free. However, I'm going to be on vacation from July 14 through July 27, which means that my choices are either pay $3 and get the demo today, or wait 24 to 25 days to get it for free. I've been looking forward to this game so much since it was announced, and I just didn't want to wait almost an entire extra month to get to play it.
I guess anything I say regarding Qore from here on out won't really matter anymore because of this...
But at least I'm getting my demo...
-Jad- @ Jun 27th 2008 4:38PM
It look pretty kool a instant buy 4 sure.
Gene @ Jun 27th 2008 6:05PM
I'm as big a Sony fanboy as any other, but fuck Qore.
John McPoop (PSN:johnnynumber5) @ Jun 27th 2008 7:21PM
Qore is an online magazine that has nothing to do with Sony directly. Qore is offering access into restricted betas and early demo's as a way to sell subscriptions. Otherwise they would not have as many subscribers.
Arnon @ Jun 29th 2008 9:24AM
They're obviously not restrictive if anyone is able to pay for this and obtain it XD. In all honesty.. it's just a way to make some money.
top.slacker @ Jun 27th 2008 4:50PM
And so it begins... Damn Qore.
Popfrogs @ Jun 27th 2008 6:16PM
Don't buy it, and tell all your friends not to buy it if this is how it's going to be. They're starting this in the US as a test market.
Don't reward them for charging us for content that they should be delivering free. The PSN has been a disappointment, I'm a launch PS3 owner and I feel they owe me alot more than this.
McKey1991 @ Jun 27th 2008 6:32PM
I hope you and everyone else knows that demos will only be exclusive to Qore for a certain amount of weeks and then it will be released onto the PSN Store. I don't see why people are still complaining. Demos are still coming and beta's were never free anyways. You have to pre-order the game, or sometimes get it from a magazine (same thing your doing with Qore). This is all optional...why won't you all understand?
parkd @ Jun 28th 2008 1:36AM
I'm not disappointed with PSN because it's free with little to no lag, compared to Live. It's a lot better than PS2's almost non-existent online functionality.
adolson @ Jun 27th 2008 4:52PM
I hope that the demo becomes available to everyone shortly after... Demos should be free for all.
billy @ Jun 27th 2008 5:00PM
they said qore allow you to play the demo couple weeks earlier you will still get the demo for free on psn and i think the only thing exclusive to qore is the free game and beta
sbf717 @ Jun 27th 2008 4:59PM
You forgot to mention the demo will be up for all users during E3 week. It was towards the end of the video
Hashbrown Hunter @ Jun 27th 2008 5:58PM
I'm hoping that this is a trend of Qore-exclusive stuff and that it wll eventually becomes free to non-subscribers. That's the best anyone can hope for.
Seba501 @ Jun 27th 2008 5:14PM
Well, the demo will be aviable for everyone, but Quore is a really good idea.
OMG, i´ll buy for sure, i think i will be the best naruto game ever made
B. Blabby @ Jun 27th 2008 6:05PM
Yeah the demo will be released during E3. Ugh I damn Qore. I really want to play this game. And its about time the PS3 got an exclusive. I want more exclusives. Maybe if we get lucky Mass Effect will come to PS3 with bonus content and stuff like bioshock.
Popfrogs @ Jun 28th 2008 2:57PM
You say you wish for exclusives then say "Maybe if we get lucky Mass Effect will come to PS3 with bonus content and stuff like bioshock"? I don't get it, exclusives aren't year-late ports.
lantus @ Jun 27th 2008 5:44PM
Just to clarify Qore members get early access to the demo early next month, it'll go up in the PlayStation Store the week of E3 and be available to everyone.
This game seems to get more intriguing every time I see something new on it, I'll definitely check it out when it releases.
Nathanical @ Jun 27th 2008 5:52PM
gotta say, even though im not a naruto fan, this game does look awesome! unfortunately all that demo release info probably has little to no relevance in the UK.
matthew_neitzer @ Jun 27th 2008 5:53PM
If Sony was charging just for demos and betas, than I probably would be upset. However, with all the content that comes with that, I don't think it is that bad of a deal. And remember, they said that these demos and betas normally wouldn't be available were it not for Qore.

Abelardo @ Jun 27th 2008 6:35PM
THE DEMO IS AVAILABLE ON THE 17TH ON THE PS STORE
BLee @ Jun 27th 2008 7:00PM
it's like the Xbox Live Silver and Gold subscriptions.. but not to its extent.. I can wait.
Falryu @ Jun 27th 2008 8:11PM
I can understand Qore's goal of acting as a digital magazine. I would actually prefer it was a real magazine instead of a digital one. I'm fine with it. Just get the PSN card to gamestop already so I can buy specific magazines I want.
required @ Jun 27th 2008 8:28PM
The game looks great.
Polkster @ Jun 28th 2008 2:57PM
You guys realize this whole "otherwise unreleased" or "early access" demo thing is bullshit? They're obviously just delaying the release of demos so they can say Qore subscribers get early access. It's a marketing gimmick and thats why I say fuck them.
Mike918 @ Jun 27th 2008 9:23PM
Noooo Sonyyy!! you are doin it wrong!
CJLopez @ Jun 27th 2008 9:44PM
It look good, might consider getting it once price drops, but the lack of online battle had gotten some points from it
drdre74 @ Jun 27th 2008 10:29PM
wow this game is a must have just off this video. I'll be buying Qore next month for sure.
Kid Chemical @ Jun 28th 2008 2:53AM
Sony has nothing directly to do with Qore?
Go back and look who owns the trademark.
Noshino @ Jun 28th 2008 9:15AM
yah, but if you researched a bit more you would know that they are in charge of the application but that another company is in charge of the content, Sony isn't the one making the deals (getting demos, early beta access, exclusive videos/information, etc)
RagingStormX @ Jun 28th 2008 10:59AM
I am starting to look at Qore in a whole new light....I reall want this demo, and this game is a must buy for me....I hope they have a cool special or limited edition package too.
acedoh @ Jun 28th 2008 2:59PM
I don't understand why some are upset about Qore. If anyone remembers the days of the Official Playstation Magazine that was expensive and came with a demo disc. That was the only way to access demos and yet I don't remember people complaining. It's not like it is being forced on anyone. On top of that they are trying to give incentives to those who buy the subscription or get it a specific month. They need to entice people to buy it. It's called marketing and there is nothing wrong with it....
imaballa @ Jun 28th 2008 5:33PM
Qore is by Future US not by Sony folks.
Qore team "buys" exclusives from developers like Namco early for their subscription base.
Naruto demo would have came out at E3 regardless if Qore was there or not, think about it they are showcasing the game there and releasing it the same week during the update along with videos and new trailers shown at E3 like always.
Qore will also get demos earlier then Xbox Live or PSN.
You have to understand Qore team is different than PSN team.
Qore pays to get those demos, PSN and XBL don't really pay anything to get those demos from the developers.
Deadpool @ Jun 28th 2008 8:04PM
People don't listen in blogs, they just whine, complain, cuss and fuss no matter how much you try to explain to them. I remember getting Playstation magazine just for the demo disk and that was $8 or $9 dollars. So $3 dollars isn't that bad.
This game looks cool enough for me to at least try Qore next month. Who knows, I might actually like it.
spyker @ Jun 28th 2008 9:58PM
I don't care. I already have Qore and am happy with it. Most people obviously don't really see that it's a magazine, not a pay-for-demo service. If you don't remember magazines used to come with demo disks, and I think they might still have some.
Think Adrian @ Jun 29th 2008 10:16AM
I love the way Americans pronounce "Naruto" :D
Tenxchi @ Jun 29th 2008 11:22AM
I have a question. Can I still subscribe to the $3.00 Qore and still get the demo.
Deadpool @ Jun 29th 2008 4:16PM
Yes. Yes you can. That's what I'm going to do. It's like a magazine so you're not stuck with paying for the subscription price. Just pick up the magazine that interest you that month. I'm just going to get the $3.00/monthly Qore demos/exclusives that interests me throughout the year.
the_kid_1995 @ Aug 12th 2008 5:41AM
yo, I'm using my PS3.. and i was on the PSstore, and it's there for free... check the PS3 store, I downloaded it.. it is FREAKING AWESOME... It's hard to choose, NARUTO or Dragon ball Z Burst limit.. but Graphics.. DBZ.. Gameplay, NARUTO.. both got graphics really close to the MANGA
Gridneo @ Sep 10th 2008 3:12PM
One issue I have with these games (the Demo is amazing... 3D Narutimate FTW) is that they're soooo far behind the other games I've already played... Nuritimate Accel 2 has a plethora of charaters (up through Sasori/Deidara, etc), but we all want more. Hehe. It's going to take years for the American versions of the games to get up there, along with countless $$ spent on games. Sigh.
