Deal: DualShock 3 for $42, plus shipping
GoGamer.com is offering the rumble-ready DualShock 3 controller for 25% off its retail price. You can snag one for $41.49, a pretty sizable discount from its $55 MSRP. Games, like Metal Gear Solid 4, just feel so much better with rumble. Whatever it takes, make sure you try to snag one.[Thanks, Greg P.!]

But with $7 shipping, you really only save a couple of dollars...I'd rather just buy them off Amazon, somewhere I know and trust more.
Neil @ Jul 1st 2008 11:22AM
Agreed.
sean @ Jul 1st 2008 10:02AM
wish i had the money. would pick this up.
and i think that was the shortest post ever on PS3fanboy.
Gaucho @ Jul 1st 2008 10:02AM
I would get it for the extra weight, but at that price i would still rather buy a PSP game.
Dwag @ Jul 1st 2008 10:15AM
When it hits 30 I'll buy one but right now it doesn't even work with the games I have but one so why would I buy it I'd rather get another SixAxis.
Mo @ Jul 1st 2008 11:56AM
no, you want it. sixaxis is lame
its the EXACT same feeling as when you went to the dualshock2 pure joy
gameforall @ Jul 1st 2008 10:16AM
Got mine on Monday through an Amazon uk seller, works fine but still prefer the sixLight for certain game i.e. MLB 08. The differcene in wieght is the main problem, and it will take a while to get use to.

Miami, FL residents please note that this week, the DS3 is 38.88 at Brandsmart.
theberlindoctor @ Jul 1st 2008 10:35AM
wow.. last gen tech + wireless for twice the price. lame.
Kspraydad @ Jul 1st 2008 11:59AM
Wow. Assinine commentary + fanboy overtones. lame.
Mo @ Jul 1st 2008 12:09PM
+ psuedo nazi handle = uber lame
anyways, the DualShock3 with sixAxis is nowhere to be found in the last gen... flippin troll go play halo
theberlindoctor @ Jul 1st 2008 12:14PM
yea, i own both systems because i'm a fanboy. sure. Get over yourself.
Normal price of $55 for a dualshock 2 plus wireless is ridiculous. The 360 controller is still 50 bucks, more than it should be, in my opinion, but at least its a significant redesign over the last gen controller.
but thanks for your attempt at an insightful reply.

"+ psuedo nazi handle = uber lame"
Wow, thanks for commenting on something you know nothing about. I couldnt possibly live in berlin and be a doctor. Nor could it possibly be a historical reference to the Young Hegelian movement predating the nazis by more than a hundred years.
Put down your controller and pick up a book. We'd all be better off if you did.
Shooter McGavin @ Jul 1st 2008 1:38PM
dude DS3 controlers are cheaper then 360 wireless were im fom
DS3 = $49.95
360W = $54.95

I think i imported a white one in November for $60 shipped (coupons). Best decision i ever made (only 5$ more for months ahead) and worth it for Uncharted and Folklore. Then i played all of orange box until they released it here which still doesn't support rumble.
The sixaxis works for those games as well as a rechargeable lighter remote w/ longer battery power.
tristan88 @ Jul 1st 2008 11:22AM
i would like to buy it but its still to expensive for me right now. I completely agree on mgs4 being better with rumble. I've noticed many times how much better rumble is assigned to things than in other games.
evilfoxhound @ Jul 1st 2008 10:59AM
If you think that's bad, come to England where they cost £40 ($80) LOL Now THAT'S a price worth complaining about.
James @ Jul 1st 2008 11:59AM
No, the RRP is 40 quid (what kind of moron pays RRP these days?) which is less than a Wiimote/nunchuck set or a 360 controller with rechargeable battery pack.
Stop complaining, get off your backside and find a deal - I just preordered one from a UK online game seller for £32.99 including delivery.
Mo @ Jul 1st 2008 12:08PM
*thats* fucked up
DelSource @ Jul 2nd 2008 10:53AM
DS3 is £29.99 including second class delivery at Amazon UK.
From the same site:
360 wireless with battery pack = £39.97
Wiimote & nunchuck = £42.74 + the cost of batteries
Woohoo: no more whining from the professional complainers.
True_Darknight @ Jul 1st 2008 11:39AM
Or you want waltz into any wal-mart and get it for 45. Any day.... i mean really.
And I also belong to the SIXAXIS club. I mostly play with the 6axis than with the rumble. it's sooo much lighter and wat not.. Good for 4 hour CoD4 sessions :)
Shooter McGavin @ Jul 1st 2008 11:41AM
Every Wal-Mart in Tennessee has DS3s for $49.95 and Sixaxis usualy on clearence for $39.95
funny thing is though i bought one at a game store for $55 only to realize two days later Wal-Mart has em cheaper
Shooter McGavin @ Jul 1st 2008 11:42AM
It's the shortest one iv ever seen and iv ben gettin stuff off this blog since last October
Devin @ Jul 1st 2008 11:56AM
As you soon as I knew I could get one for $34.99 shipped ($44.99 - $10 Google Checkout w/ free shipping) I went into light-speed mode and got one ASAP and so did my g/f. We are both enjoying the rumble on her PS3 right now and once I get mine I'll have two (won't be buying a PS3 until DS3 comes standard at the $399.99 price point). It it was $42 w/ free shipping, then this post would make more sense.

I'm picking one up from Best Buy. They e-mailed me a 12% off coupon, and due to some NASCAR race, I get triple points for buying it this week. Those points will push me over the limit to get a 10 dollar gift certificate.
So not a terrible deal there.
