Warhawk trophies and patches detailed, new booster hinted
As we've mentioned previously in our firmware 2.40 guide, games released prior to 2.40 (such as Warhawk) will have to be patched. So, the big question is: when will the Warhawk v1.4 patch hit? Now here is where things get a little funny; trophy support will not be found in v1.4 but, as Jobe states, will be found in the v1.5 patch. Neither v1.4 nor v1.5 have fixed released dates, but Jobe sounds very sure that both will be seen "very very very" soon.
To give us something to look forward to, Jobe details that Warhawk will have 56 trophies set up in v1.5. Ten will be based off "current stats/rank/awards system" and can be retroactively attained. 34 trophies are entirely new and based off the core gameplay, which ultimately means happy hunting for you. The last 12 are set aside as booster pack-specific awards. With four per booster, and only two booster packs currently released (Omega Dawn and Broken Mirror), it sounds like to us that a third booster will be ready in time for v1.5.

your kidding right? IW cant even add a rumble patch to COD4. They said adding rumble to the PS3 version of COD4 they would need a "major code overhaul" lol IW sucks lol

Seriously they are basically forcing people to buy the booster packs if they want to get platinum trophy for the game since there are trophies that can only be found in them.

Doesn't seem like a big deal to me.. Really good commercial and logical move on their part.
It'd help them massively if people did have all the booster packs, having the playerbase spread over multiple expansions is bad for them and us.. Anything they can do do consolidate the users suits me.. The expansions aren't exactly expensive. :)

For a sub million selling game to get continued support from the developer almost a year after launch I think a little $$ is warranted.
When you bought the game you had NO expectation of 'trophies' so complaining that you need to buy an expansion to take full advantage of this new feature seems disingenuous.

I think the way 360 does it in this case is much better. Every retail game gets 1000 (with very few exceptions) and any DLC can have about 250 points, but that doesn't stop you from getting the full 1000 in the first place.
What I'm saying is if you can get the platinum without having to get the boosters than that's alright.
That's just my opinion on the matter, no need to get nasty about it.

Are you 100% certain that you can only get the platnium trophy by getting all of the trophies? I would expect that games like this would reward you if you get all of the trophies except the booster pack ones, otherwise what's going to happen if they release a 4th booster pack?

Not for every game they are ... According to the developers of Burnout Paradise they are able to unlock them retroactively.

wow looks awesome someone told me if you already have omega dawn and broken mirror you will get this booster pack for free i dont know but even if you have to pay for it. i dont mind i just think that the future expansion that are going to be processed and released at god knows when i just think that some or 1 should be free think of the people who r still in school or people who dont have a credit card the soo missing out i feel for them
