I can't stand the GH guitar controllers, but I would buy this for friends... IF it worked in Rock Band.
Let me know when there's a deal on Rock Band Strats.

Yeah right.. This is EA you're talking about. They still sell 3 year old Madden's at $60.
Lars @ Jul 3rd 2008 3:15PM
Really? Ouch.
I don't understand why they don't want my money... doesn't make any sense at all. I would have totally bought GH3 if only for a second RB guitar back when RB and GH3 were new.

Its not EA fault. Activision blocked a patch that the EA/MTV Games folks were going to release. Activision wanted MONEY from EA for the use of the PS3 guitar in Rock Band. For once, its not EA's fualt.
After this happened I lost all interest in Activision's products. They continue to try to fleece the public with shitty GH releases, and wont allow their customers to use their guitars with other games.

Yeah, I was talking about Activision, not EA actually.
I agree that the GH franchise is looking less and less desirable. Just throwing a billion SKU's out there with minor differences is bad enough, and now World Tour which is a copy-paste of Rock Band. There's some inevitable minor enhancements, but it's just so blatantly fueled by a desire to drain wallets rather than genuine inspiration.

I recently replaced my original SG guitar with a wireless Kramer for my PS2.
I took the wireless back....my scores were always higher with the wired guitar.
Is it just me?

BTW, Guitar Hero:Aerosmith blows.
The redo's of the classics with the crowd singing along are horrible. They could have at least made the audience sing in tune. Terrible!!!
Lars @ Jul 3rd 2008 4:07PM
No, you're not alone. There was some lag problems with PS2 GH wireless controllers for sure. The Wii version of GH3 seemed kinda laggy too... maybe it just needed tuning. I dunno about the other console versions of GH3 though.

aerosmith isnt bad
i like it:)
everone on this site and x3f seems to hate gh...:(
or at least the major majority
GRT @ Jul 3rd 2008 4:08PM
With Rock Band 2 becoming a timed exclusive for 360, and not having the 'song creation' mode, I'm thinking of switching over to GH. Will this 'guitar' work with GH World Tour or whatever GH IV is called?
tan @ Jul 3rd 2008 4:56PM
yeah
course!
they even said that there old guitars will all fully work (Except you obvs won't be able to use the new features...for obvious reasons, like the old guitar doesn't have them=])
i like guitar hero:)

For all you guys and I guess for the site, I picked up one of these babies recently and it works flawlessly.

Universal PS3 guitar adapter. Hammer-ons work. Tilting works. You get stuck with the echo effect in rock band, but who cares? And you can essentially play any game with any PS2/PS3 guitar, or even just play a normal game with a ps2 controller.
I don't normally...endorse products, but yeah people should know about this.
maxdense @ Jul 3rd 2008 7:38PM
I bought one too. It works pretty well, but not at all with "Rocks the 80's"
