Gotta buy this! Resistance is still one of my fav games for ps3
Nitsu @ Jul 3rd 2008 1:06PM
Can't wait for the Silent Hill info!!
paul @ Jul 3rd 2008 1:20PM
Is the update live? I WANT PIXELJUNK EDEN! and no, I dont think Qore is worth it this episode
reson8er @ Jul 3rd 2008 1:07PM
Awesome, I can't wait to play me some Naruto Demo :)
I love Qore, I wish there was a little more content, but I am very satisfied with the quality. Print mags be damned!
JerJerBinks @ Jul 3rd 2008 1:41PM
I couldnt agree more. As a proud subscriber to Qore and PlayStation: The Official Magazine, I want to see what is going on the world of PlayStation. Sony is heading in the right direction here, giving its userbase the ability to see more of the development process and offering exclusive content. I just hope they can get rid of some of the fluff and blatant advertising. The BK add really pissed me off, I already dont eat fast food and I couldnt skip the damn thing.
reson8er @ Jul 3rd 2008 1:53PM
I personally hated the BK add as well.
If they can limit ads to Video game related content, It would take a lot of the sting out of these bits.
Some of my favorite things in Print Magazines are the adds for Atlus/Square Enix games (usually great artwork). I hope they can keep the focus on what gameing.
Hackmysack @ Jul 3rd 2008 1:12PM
if they make it free i think this could be what sony needs to best live but i duno but hell its full of ad's so just add a few more and make it free
Mort @ Jul 3rd 2008 1:20PM
Too early to tell if this is worth it overall, or not. The first issue had more content, as you would expect for a launch issue.
I purchased the 13 episode subscription, so I will be getting this anyway.
However, ANY decent R2 info is worth it. I guess we'll have to wait and see...
adolson @ Jul 3rd 2008 1:11PM
I'm excited to see the Resistance 2 stuff for sure. I don't mind paying for Qore's content as long as they release the demos for free to everyone, even if there is a delay. Nobody should have to pay for a demo if they don't want to. Naruto demo gets wide release on July 17th or so.
Edge @ Jul 3rd 2008 1:10PM
Are they going to make us PAY to watch ADS again? I'm already regretting the annual membership I took. The demos and betas better make this worth it.
Phantom @ Jul 3rd 2008 1:13PM
So I could just buy the first issue when the bets comes out and have the beta ?
reson8er @ Jul 3rd 2008 1:40PM
Correct, assuming there is no time/date "cut off point" for beta testing sign-up.
Wrok @ Jul 3rd 2008 1:15PM
my god, it really bugs me that this is not availible for europeans,
we always seem to get the short stick.
atleast usually i can just log on with my american account
and download content like demos and videos, and even buy
various PSN titles, but whenever i try to eigther buy a single
issue or buy the annuel subscription, it gives me error.
how hard can it be to just mirror the two stores?
pettern @ Jul 3rd 2008 1:23PM
I am european(Norway to be exact), and I can easily buy Qore from the US Store, without any problems. I've already enjoyed Qore issue 1, and is now waiting eagerly to download issue 2. However it was in black/white. However by displaying it on a hdtv the it got colours :)
Kspraydad @ Jul 3rd 2008 1:22PM
Since this is a product of Future Publishing...perhaps bugging them would help?

Laurens Holst @ Jul 3rd 2008 1:57PM
@pettern: how did you do that? You must have a US credit card? Because when I try to enter my credit card info, it asks me for a billing address and only lets me fill in a US address?
I tried looking online for US Playstation Network Cards, but it seems there’s no websites selling them yet.
biggrapp313 @ Jul 3rd 2008 2:15PM
you'd rather have the long stick?
FrodoTBaggins @ Jul 3rd 2008 3:16PM
I posted this earlier in a recent post. Hope it helps.
I live in New Zealand (PAL Territory) We have the same content as the EU store.
You can create accounts basically for any reigion no problems (Japan, Hong Kong, US...where ever). You can download demos, trailers basically anything free with no problems.
Now if you wanna purchase content you need an American Credit Card. The easiest way to get around this is to go to http://www.entropay.com/ which allows you to create a virtual credit card. Create an account using a valid US address (Beverly hills 90210 always works lol) and if all the boxes are filled in right you should get a virtual card you can load money onto using your personal credit card. It's all quite simple really.
Now you can use the details from your virtual card to purchase US content from any region.
You can purchase US content, or any other regions content from a EU or PAL system. It's good sometimes you can get deals if you check different stores. I got high vel. bowling for close to $10 cheaper than I would've buying it locally.
jakob.falthammar @ Jul 3rd 2008 6:27PM
I am also from Europe ( Sweden to be exact) and i can also download Qore without any problems. My videos are in color and everything works great. No error message for me. I couldn't use my Master Card though, I had to borrow my friends Visa card, but that works fine. I dont know why.
black_ryuk @ Jul 3rd 2008 1:18PM
Can't wait for it to finally update. I Really want to try out that Naruto demo. Question though: For the subscription.....does it update when the Playstation store does or sometime before that?
reson8er @ Jul 3rd 2008 1:33PM
Supposedly its Auto-downloaded if you have the monthly subscription, I guess well find out soon enough!
TypeF @ Jul 3rd 2008 1:19PM
25$ for anual is not much =) i got the anual but the beta is not downloadable yet on qore june =( yay i get to see resistance 2 and play naruto demo XD

I got the annual subscription for qore, can someone tell me why the fuck I have to watch an ad before every feature? LAME
JerJerBinks @ Jul 3rd 2008 2:58PM
Hard to belive this is coming from a guy that advertises Kool-Aid with his avatar. Sigh.
frankym @ Jul 3rd 2008 1:27PM
Seems pretty good for $2.99.
If the Naruto demo is more than 5 minutes it will be worth it I guess.
I mean, what can you buy for $2.99 today!?
Dirty @ Jul 3rd 2008 4:21PM
3 JR bacon cheese burgers.
Mort @ Jul 3rd 2008 1:40PM

Cory @ Jul 3rd 2008 1:40PM
I liked the first qore so I'll most likey pick this up. I'll still go issue by issue because i know there will be some issues that wont be worth it.
By the way my PS3 literally just stopped reading all my ps3 games and blu-rays!
there's no home fix for this right? Am I going to have to call Sony? Crap. If so does anyone know if they just replace the blu-ray drive or the entire unit because i have the 60GB and don't want to give it up!
ModeMan101 @ Jul 3rd 2008 1:56PM
I would think that they'd do whatever is cheapest for them, so if it's just the BR drive that needs replacing, I wouldn't think they'd give you a whole new unit. You should definitely ask them though.
meanderis @ Jul 3rd 2008 9:09PM
you can fix it yourself if you want.
cost you anywhere from 70-120 depending if you get just the lens assembly or the whole thing.
Cory @ Jul 4th 2008 12:13AM
It's still under warranty from sony. I called them up but they said they couldn't guarantee I would get my system back. They said they should still have 60GB systems left to replace mine, which I found surprising, but if they didn't I would indeed receive an 80 gig system. Sucks but I'd still rather have a working 80 gig then a broken 60.
ajiezer @ Jul 3rd 2008 1:43PM
Having Naruto days before is for me worth the issue, 3 bucks a month is cheap for me
ModeMan101 @ Jul 3rd 2008 1:48PM
Still haven't checked this e-zine out yet, although the fact that there's advertising (which I presume isn't skippable) is a bit of a negative.
And I'll just say it so nobody else has to... I'd like to see host Veronica Belmont don her birthday suit! (groan)
gman @ Jul 3rd 2008 1:53PM
Yeah awesome. I can pay money for information I can find for free on the net. Or vids that will be on YouTube within a couple of hours after release. Yay!! Why don't we burn our money while we are at it..
adolson @ Jul 3rd 2008 2:30PM
I have a better idea - how about you post a video of yourself burning a three-dollar bill on YouTube? I wanna see that!
Noshino @ Jul 3rd 2008 2:34PM
Sir, if you may, could you provide me the link to the Naruto demo or the SOCOM Confrontation beta?
NukeAssault @ Jul 3rd 2008 3:20PM
Id burn a 3 dollar bill if it existed.
Denkigrve @ Jul 3rd 2008 9:06PM
YouTube videos are not the same quality levels of the Qore videos. Most of them appear to be available in 1080p, which makes it worth it for me.
Watching the Socom videos I got an idea of what to expect for the visuals on my TV. I can't disagree with you more on waiting for crappy YouTube rips.
dannybr1 @ Jul 3rd 2008 2:02PM
Of course I'll get it !!!
Only US$ 2.99 for a great video and previews.
I loved the first one and I think it will be fantastic
Tez (PSN: Tezasaurus) @ Jul 3rd 2008 2:09PM
I'd pay for it if it didn't have ads; if they're getting ad revenue, the "magazine" should be free.
biggrapp @ Jul 3rd 2008 2:16PM
I don't like the adds either. especially since I'm paying my hard earned bucks for it.
Gabriel @ Jul 3rd 2008 2:18PM
Meh. Qore is a waste.
Kruegmeister @ Jul 3rd 2008 2:21PM
I bought the Subscription as well.
I wish it was a little more like a Magazine with Reviews but I don't know if it would be subjective enough.
They need to figure out how to Stream more content so the Issue Download Size is not so big.
Kruegmeister @ Jul 3rd 2008 9:09PM
I agree only somewhat with the complaints about the charging for a Subscription that has ads.
I bought the Year subscription because I want the betas, exclusive themes and I got Calling all Cars with the Year Subscription so Now I am really only paying $1.25 for a Magazine with Ads in it.
Also, the stuff may end up on YouTube hours later, but it is nice to view the Previews in High Definition. It gives you a better Idea of what the Game will look like on your TV. XBox Live Charges something like $3 for SpikeTV's GameTrailers Episodes in LowDef and $5 in HighDef so the Pricing is not entirely out of line.
The Basic idea here is if you don't think it is worth it, Don't Buy it.
Vance1982 @ Jul 3rd 2008 2:55PM
When does the Playstation store usually update? Because I don't issue 2 only issue 1
Seba501 @ Jul 3rd 2008 2:58PM
Wow, the game will release this fall, and we already have a demo, sweeet!!
ocdog45 @ Jul 3rd 2008 4:29PM
i think its better then the first one. i'm interested in all the games this time.
McDuck @ Jul 3rd 2008 5:49PM
I can't download this if I wanted to as my PS3 is still doing its wave thing after it corrupted my second hard drive. :(
Timothy Lawrence @ Jul 3rd 2008 6:02PM
I can't wait for the Naruto Demo, and I picked up this subscription instead of a real magazine subscription and if you ever have had one of those the ads are much worse in an actual magazine but granted you can flip through them.
