I still say the PS2 has the best RPG's from any system out right now.
I'm not that big on RPG's so I still have plenty of life left in my PS2 (even though I'm always on PS3) but I can definitely see how the PS3 is lacking in RPG's.
vagrant1223 @ Jul 4th 2008 6:09PM
And it still has more on the way!
/looks at Persona 4. :D
Maninatrunk77 @ Jul 4th 2008 5:38PM
yeah for real I'm so tired of hearing about anything japeneese! isn't this site american based, you know it's bad when an american website talks about only the product in another country, but then again you might only have 2 updates a week if all you talked about was american related items
golden sapphire @ Jul 4th 2008 5:49PM
on ps3 fanboy they would have replied all crazy at ya for that comment and would have voted you down already...
but you know what dude, i agree wholeheartly... lets hear how the psp sells in europe and north america to make it really debatable and interesting...
Fane @ Jul 5th 2008 1:55AM
Japan is the only region which announces sales data weekly.Hence the seeming bias.p.s. To all the morons who don't seem to know better, "bias" is a noun; if you're describing how someone is, the word is "biased".
henry @ Jul 5th 2008 8:21AM
if there wouldn't be for the japan psp related updates there wouldn't be that many updates
total.wimp @ Jul 7th 2008 11:12AM
I agree, but more for the games than the sales updates.
I think it's nice to hear the PSP is popular. It ensures a PSPII, PSP Phone, or whatever will be following in it's footsteps.
But I've seen game after game after game on this site that are are developed in Japan and are designed to appeal especially to the tastes of the Japaneses game player. I happen to prefer games that are made with North American preferences in mind because, surprise, I live in the USA. I loved Chili Con Carnage, Twisted Metal, and SOCOM, but though I've been known to play anime-inspired games on occasion, they're only a small part of the video games I enjoy.
There's a reason the PSP is big in Japan and not as big in Europe and N. America. It's a no-duh kind of reason. Unless we see more games targeted at us, it'll be difficult to build and maintain excitement in our regions.
Dr Haisook @ Jul 4th 2008 6:30PM
No wonder. The Japanese understand video gaming. They make good games and they know 'how' to enjoy them. Great pic btw!
RagingStormX @ Jul 4th 2008 6:35PM
I am solely here for the pic of the girl licking the PSP....felt I had to say something. Thanks for the name Don lol
shoobadoobadoowee @ Jul 4th 2008 11:29PM
That pic is around 3 years old and I still get mesmerized by it.
Y'know in other countries in Europe and Asia, they talk about stuff that's American. That's why more people from Asian and Europe know more about us than we know about them.
So how about you quit your bitching about psp news from Japan and go pleasure yourself to some John Wayne movies to make yourself feel better. What a tard.
Zippon @ Jul 5th 2008 12:29AM
They might also know about us because we've been the dominant world power for quite a while now. They kind of HAVE to know about us. ;-)
Plus, most other countries teach at least some English in their public schools. So they can understand and appreciate (at least on some level) games and articles from over here.
Most Americans do not know Japanese, however. So a large chunk of Pspfanboy's articles are nothing but white noise to us.
(I'm not saying it's a "good" thing that we are clueless about other countries, but your take on it sounds like its coming from a 12 year old.)
Fiefdom @ Jul 5th 2008 5:54PM
I agree. I am unable to read these Japanese (?) posts about Japanese PSP sales even though they pertain to the PSP, this website's subject of focus. Why can't PSP Fanboy write all their articles in English; I wouldn't see white noise if they did. If only more people outside of the Anglosphere learned English to even better proficiency, then they could import PSPs from the dominant power in the world (the European Union, with its existing economy, right?) and I would again be able to read these posts without suffering from an epileptic fit.
By the way, I'm twelve years old (as your extrasensory perception will likely tell you). This post thus automatically holds no relevance despite any points it may bring up. It looks like my point, and anyone who agrees with it, must be wrong.
Pilch @ Jul 9th 2008 6:20AM
Fiefdom, your post made my day :-)
your post if full of international win!
smi04 @ Jul 5th 2008 4:04AM
Girl licking psp.
That is all.
Quest @ Jul 5th 2008 7:47AM
DS is +12k, and still can't crack #1!
Brandon @ Jul 5th 2008 9:33PM
haha. Not surprised that the PSP is No. 1. Everyone in Japan already has 2 DSes already. What else are they to spend their money on?
KeelJoy @ Jul 10th 2008 9:20PM
ha haaa!!!!!!!!!!!
.. y'know it's been a lil' quiet amongst you DS fanboys out there. lmao..
i've long since predicted that the psp was going to rule even before it's game collection expanded into this library, pardon me- oasis of games that you see before you at your local consumer-robbing GameStop. can't help but remember how i openly pledged my support for the jesus of hand helds and got ridiculed and insulted in posts left to right.
Now look at you!! You salivate at the mere sight of a GameStop employee, begging for a DS revival!!
NOW WHO'S LAUGHING?????????? BWAA HAA HAAAA!!!!!!!
