Criterion working on Burnout Paradise planes
As in planes that can fly in the sky or planes that you can drive around on the ground? Seriously speaking, there was a vague mention up on Criterion Games' website giving hint to more vehicles ... of the winged and massive variety. Can Burnout Paradise's engine really dish out full flying machines? Maybe; considering all the previous updates and just the sheer amount of content that's added every time, we'd have to say we're going on good faith with this one. With Cagney soon to release this July 10, Burnout Paradise fans have a lot to look forward to.
On a side note, please pardon the photo. We just thought the Foo Fighters may have predicted this years ago. Have a peek at their lyrics: "Im looking to the sky to save me. Looking for a sign of life. Looking for something to help me burnout bright." See what we mean?

I'm skeptical about this being a good idea.

like i said before- old snake is gonna be on the plane. a story will also be in the update and in the end...it turns out the patriots orchestrated everything!!! it'll be THE biggest twist in gaming history.
or maybe it's just planes crashing into each other

criterion need to stop wasting their time in all this ridiculous updates[not the first 3]planes come on WTF?
1 personally think is a STUPID idea!!! if criterion is wasting their time in this update then a 2 player mode [offline] should be a walk in the park if the BOP engine is goin 2 b able to support this features then [again] a 2 player mode should b a walk in the park
so plz if any employes or waht ever from criterion read this plz recharge ur batteries drink some red bull and get started in that 2 player mode.

They showed a video 3 months ago where they were flying a plane in the game, now every website is acting like this is breaking news.

I looked up the features they are including in this update, and I find myself hanging out at #dontcare.
I look at this: Online Road Rage – where you team up and try to stop the other team from reaching their destination
And I can't help but ask, why didn't we get this when it released? It's cool that they are still supporting the game and everything, and it is especially cool that it's free, but I haven't played the damn game since January. And for that matter, all my buddies who bought it...also haven't played it since then.

Oh, awesome! Maybe they'll put 10,000 other planes in the air so you can't get a decent race going without wrecking every five seconds.
jae29one @ Jul 6th 2008 8:05AM
They should work with the guys from Warhawk on this..
maxpontiac @ Jul 6th 2008 8:54PM
Like the idea.
Trophies had me sold on this game anyways..
Mo @ Jul 10th 2008 5:47PM
yep
maxpontiac @ Jul 6th 2008 9:14PM
This game had me sold when they announced Trophies.
Anything else is a bonus in my book..
why not the LS2LS7? @ Jul 7th 2008 4:38PM
Criterion showed this on their very first video podcast well over a month ago. They also said they didn't think they knew how to put it in the game (in a gameplay sense), and so likely would not do so.
