Deal of the Day: Pre-order Madden 09 for $50
For those of you who are looking to buy Madden 09 on day 1, rather than wait till the game inadvertently drops to $20 around the same time next year, can save a little money with this deal. Pre-order the game by July 13th at NFLShop.com, apply the coupon code NFLEXTRA25 for 25% off, and get the game for $44.99 + $4.99 shipping = $49.98. The game will retail for $59.99 when it debuts, so you'll be saving $10 and potentially sales tax. Unfortunately, those in California, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Massachusetts, New York and Pennsylvania will have to pay sales tax. Take advantage of this deal here.[Via SlickDeals]

Nice deal but I'll wait six months for the game to drop to $10. Gotta love the sports game price depreciation.
ascian @ Jul 8th 2008 8:10PM
That makes zero sense. Why would you wait 6 months for something you can do right now? Not to mention that the reason it drops in 6 months is because the football season is over and no one cares about it anymore.

nm, i'm dumb and can't read

Ha, I just bought Madden 2005 for PS2 for $1.80 and it's by far the best football game ever made.
Harold @ Jul 8th 2008 8:01PM
Darn, looks like its not available anymore for PS3. They have every other version available. Your link must have sent them a lot of PS3 traffic.

SlickDeals _might_ have something to do with it. ;)

mavbsbll21 @ Jul 8th 2008 11:26PM
Yea no kidding. What? Did they have like 10 copies? But its good to see they did this for the PS3 and not the Failbox360.

havoc215 @ Jul 9th 2008 9:48AM

jordan @ Jul 9th 2008 1:54PM
Hey Alan I have a better deal for you... at midnight on whatever night it releases (I have forgotten) if you go to my local 7-eleven you can get the game with $10 discount with the purchase of a freaking snicker bar!!! now that is a deal! Laaaaaaaaaaaate
Hotrod @ Jul 9th 2008 1:48PM
If this plays anything like the NCAA demo currently on PSN, I will definitely skip it. As a matter of fact, the last football game that I liked was NFL 2k5. Madden has way too many unrealistic turn overs which are frustrating as hell.

I had been fighting with Samsung's rebate people for a nflshop gift card that was supposed to be sent to me. It's finally been reissued and will be arriving soon. I was hoping to buy this game for my cousin with the gift card (for his XBOX 360 though because that's what he has). Unfortunately, that discount code you gave has expired. I'll see if I can find another one. I'd like to use this gift card on this game since I don't really need anything else from the NFLShop.
