UK Deal of the day: Ratchet and Clank for £15
Another great PS3 game is available for a bargain price in the UK today. Argos, the high street catalog shop, has Ratchet and Clank up on its website for the excellent price of £14.99 -- a saving of £25. Our tipster assures us that this is less than you'd expect to pay on ebay, so definitely make sure you grab this one. Unfortunately, R&C won't be supporting trophies until at least after Resistance 2 gets released. Even then, it's not a certainty, but don't let that put you off. Ratchet & Clank is easily our second favorite PS3 exclusive from 2007 and at this price, it's well worth a punt.

Although I'm all for cheap games ...

This game is worth so much more. Whomever gets it at this price is *very* lucky.

doc j @ Jul 9th 2008 6:19PM
assuming it would be Uncharted
jonneyt @ Jul 9th 2008 6:09PM
Uncharted, I'd imagine.
parkd @ Jul 12th 2008 11:16PM
Or CoD4...wasn't that their GOTY pick? Although Uncharted should have won :p
Lordtombot @ Jul 9th 2008 4:43PM

ooo! i might pick this up. i liked the demo, but i actually found it quite hard. isn't it a kids game? maybe i just suck at it lol
maroofh @ Jul 9th 2008 4:47PM
A must buy defo. Probably still cheaper in US though
Drago Dracini @ Jul 9th 2008 5:04PM
nah, it's about $40 here still, so it is a sale. ;p Since 15 pounds is the equivalent of roughly $30.

I played the demo quite a few times but I just didn't see the appeal of this game. Also the fact that I couldn't invert the Y axis really annoyed me. I presume you can in the final release?
Hotrod @ Jul 9th 2008 9:32PM
This game gets better the more you play. Definitely one of my favorite titles of all time. Its just pure fun, and thats what a lot of games are lacking now a days.
P.S. One of the only titles to make excellent use of the SIXAXIS controller, and the graphics are amazing.
Coops @ Jul 10th 2008 9:54AM
Yes you can invert the y-axis in the game... I can't stand it when it's not inverted either.
The game's really worth getting, especially for the price. I got it a week or so ago from play.com for £38 :S It got lost in the post too; I ordered it a month ago but had to wait 21 days before i could do anything about it.
But yer, it's a good game and there's a challenge mode for once you complete which is harder and has new weapon upgrades.

Awesome! This is a fantastic game, I've reserved my copy.
shekki @ Jul 9th 2008 6:20PM
so let me get this straight...
ps3 games retail for 40 gbp in the UK? which is 80 usd... 60 all of a sudden dosent sound so bad after all
Mark @ Jul 9th 2008 6:45PM
Yes, but it won't stop the Americans constantly crying about how hard done by they are...
You get a cracking PS3 deal, and great game prices, but still continue to buy that other crap that keeps going wrong...
MakaiOokami @ Jul 10th 2008 12:30AM
I'm not touching on any games I have that won't have Trophy support. Not that I'm a trophy whore but right now I'm unemployed with limited funds and have a backlog of games that I have hardly touched. So I'll just chill till Greatest Hits rolls by and more games get trophy support. If I'm going to play something it'd be nice if people KNOW that I played it. :P
Kamma @ Jul 10th 2008 5:05AM
Great game, great price!
