7.99 euro-credits?!?! I can't remember what I paid for the game when I picked it up in Japan but I'm pretty sure it was about TWICE that after conversion.
That's a fantastic price for a very addictive and fun game.
*recommends*
elmosca @ Jul 10th 2008 9:47AM
And the price in the US is $9.99, that price is even more decent!
Shaun @ Jul 10th 2008 6:38AM

Nathan @ Jul 10th 2008 6:38AM
Finally!
Stoo @ Jul 10th 2008 6:39AM
Gonna pick up Echochrome, but come one where is Wipeout HD?
Anyone know a release date for it? If there is one.
Averna @ Jul 10th 2008 7:52AM
On the AU Playstation site it says Wipeout HD comes out March 2008. Seems like noone knows when its coming out.
I wish it would drop so i can spend money on it *hint hint*
JerJerBinks @ Jul 10th 2008 9:02AM
Delayed till December 2008, afaik.
John S @ Jul 10th 2008 11:58AM
December?? really? 1up says 7/15...I'm hoping they're right.
Stoo @ Jul 10th 2008 12:31PM
15th of July is a Tuesday, which doesn't seem right with it being a PSN release.

From IGN:
"About This Game
WipEout HD features a selection of the best tracks taken from previous versions of the series, meticulously crafted and fully reworked to showcase the power of PS3. Available exclusively as a download on PLAYSTATION Store and featuring 1080p High Definition visuals running at a breathtaking 60 frames per second, WipEout HD represents the future of the iconic anti-gravity racing series when it launches in late 2007.
For the first time, players will have the option of steering their anti-gravity ships to victory in a whole new way thanks to the SIXAXIS Wireless Controller; a feature that, combined with true High Definition graphics, will have racers on the edge of their seats as they take on the best from around the world in online multiplayer modes.
Genre: Racing
Exclusively on PlayStation 3
Release Date: December 31, 2008"
Take this with a few grains of salt.
NotSafe4Work @ Jul 10th 2008 6:45AM
Superb
S2 @ Jul 10th 2008 6:57AM
Anyone having problems with the burnout patch?
I am.. Download error.
Nice store update, think i will get echochrome.
Poozle @ Jul 10th 2008 7:00AM
Anyone know the difference between the store echochrome and the retail version that costs £20!
James @ Jul 10th 2008 9:29AM
Simple. The difference comes from manufacturing and materials, packaging, shipping and store profit.
(And you as the purchaser have resale value.)
mr tee @ Jul 10th 2008 7:21AM
PS3 or PSP version of echochrome?
Which one represents better value?
I thought that maybe they'd make thursday Trophy support day aswell, we need more games with trophies! All PSN games should be patched to support them - they would sell loads more!
If Sony dont have every game supporting trophies what incentive is there for publishers.
Mark @ Jul 10th 2008 7:28AM
Does PS3 version of EchoChrome support RemotePlay on PSP? That would sway me towards the PS3 version methinks..
Also where on earth is the SuperstardustHD Team pack? I am 1 trophy away from a platinum, and need it... BADLY....
Peter Graham @ Jul 10th 2008 7:36AM
Really surprised at the price of Echocrome. I'll be buying that for the PS3, no real point in me buying on the PSP as I just use it for an extension to the PS3 and no doubt we'll be able to play over Remote Play so al be happy with that !!
DavidHolliss @ Jul 10th 2008 7:42AM
Mark, there is no Platinum trophy in SS:HD - as is expected to be the case with the majority of PSN games.
Averna @ Jul 10th 2008 7:54AM
I thought you got plat throphies for getting all of the throphies in a game. ie 100% == plat trophy
wilboss @ Jul 10th 2008 8:13AM
@ Averna
Apparently that only applies to full release titles, PSN titles will not give Platinum Trophies when you get 100%. Would have been better if they'd announced that at the time...
bourega @ Jul 10th 2008 7:51AM
Just bought the PS3 version of echochrome... I have to say that the controls are far clunkier than I imagined they would be and some of the game's complexities have given me a headache...
Devin @ Jul 10th 2008 10:53AM
Please explain....
dumpertaker @ Jul 10th 2008 7:51AM
I was hoping the SSHD Co-Op expansion would have been back up today...ah well, best to those who wait I guess...
mr tee @ Jul 10th 2008 8:13AM
Cant you get the SSHD packs from in game?
NotSafe4Work @ Jul 10th 2008 8:18AM
yep, but only 1 is available
DavidHolliss @ Jul 10th 2008 8:14AM
Averna, no that won't be the case with PSN games, retail games yes, but "smaller" PSN titles no. Just passing on what I've read on various forums, and there are people will all 17 trophies already (they got the add-on before it was taken down), and they have no platinum trophy.
NotSafe4Work @ Jul 10th 2008 4:06PM
NOOOOO!!!
echoChrome has just bricked my PS3. All I did was buy it, and install it and when I ran it all I got was a black screen. Now I get an orange light then flashing red. No end of resets/cooldowns has worked.
Damn, anyone got the UK Sony support number to hand?
skin.bintin @ Jul 10th 2008 4:07PM
Very happy to finally see Echochrome available here in New Zealand. Been waiting months to see that become available here! I don't play alot of PS3, but been turning it on everyday in the hope it would be there!
