New Force Unleashed trailer is Star-Wars-like epic

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is still set to kick off this September 16. Reiterating this, LucasArts presents this new trailer which gives us slightly more insight into the game's storyline. Can you sense what's going to happen? You don't need the Force to figure this one out. Need a hint? Think "betrayal." Yeah, seems to be a central theme among the haggard Sith. We'll let your imagination go wild; you'll need it too because September seems like a galaxy far far away ...

lord knows anyone tries when getting to voice a darth vader model. but i wouldn't put it past ol JEJ to be sick to death of the role and wanting to move on.

Man that looks like a lot of fun, I've always wanted a Star Wars game where you could destroy everything in your path, I'm glad it finally got made :D

Though that trailer did kinda show a BIT too much of the story... :P

I wish they picked someone else other than Sam Witwer. He was kind of annoying in "The Mist".

In other news, it's nice to see I can buy something worth while on the 16th. Since SOCOM is never released on time.

Ah! Thanks! I knew I recognized him. Throughout the trailer I was thinking, "Darth Vader's apprentice looks kinda familiar..." I wonder why they didn't just make an original character instead of taking his face. :\

Well, I've seen Episodes IV, V & VI, and if there was still a secret apprentice I think they might have trotted him out for a fight or something. How's that for a spoiler!

It's very possible the apprentice went into exile after *what happened at the end of the trailer with Vader*...

Lots of Jedis went into exile after Order 66...

Ya, after that trailer I pre-ordered for the PS3 and PSP. I agree it did kind of give away a whole lot of the story tho.

i dont know, if you go to IMDB (i dont know how credible that site is but it seems good...?) (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1024923/) it says that Matt Sloan has the voice for star wars force unleashed, the same dude that has the voice in Chad Vader at Youtube. and it lists some of the other actors too... whadya think?

IF you ask me, I'm burnt out on Star Wars. The last three movies completely demystified the Jedi (if not making them look weak and stupid), introduced some great politics but made it too confusing by surrounding it all with a lot of crap and bad science. Writing a game story in between existing movies will be difficult without ruining the continuity.

I'd be more interested if someone started making games based on even better (even if much less well-known) epic sci-fi stories.
