'What we know so far' about Final Fantasy XIII

The fansite FinalFantasyXIII.net has posted a pretty good summary of all the known details regarding Final Fantasy XIII in a ten-minute video. It is commonly believed there's almost nothing known about the game since its first showing two years ago. This is mostly true, but the video makes a few connections you may have missed out on. Still, if you need a refresher course, this video does the job and gives you another look at some of the cinematics you may have missed out on. Perhaps a new video will appear in the coming months, but for now, this is all that is known about Final Fantasy XIII. Enjoy!

I learned a few minor things... I was hoping to learn alot... It seems Square Enix is revealing much information to the public... infact, They've been interviewed by multiple magazines for the same FF games. Maybe the mags or SE are holding out because they've said all they have to for the time being... FFXIII doesn't need to go to E3... but it does need to let the FANS know about whats happening... atleast that would be nice... we're pretty damn loyal.

PS3fanboy, I have some very interesting information regarding Final Fantasy XIII's "pigtais girl". I found her almost unbelievable (and exact) lookalike. Please contact me by email about the details, I will give you proof of my claim.

Hadn't seen anything of FFXIII since that original fight scene a long time ago now, so this is a very informative video, excellent production values, Lauren's pretty hot too.

Really good to see that it's taking queues from multiple previous battle systems. Currently playing through XII, which I really enjoy, but older systems had their merits too which are sorely missed.

OMG this makes the game sounds like canon fodder for ZeroPunctuation ... but damn, this game has a serious lock down on it, no info what so ever ... crazy, and now, no E3 showing .. booo!

Sad how very little we know about this game after so long. Hopefully, some more info, a gameplay video, and a release date come out soon.

Way less informative than I was hoping. Still, glad to see that they extracted what they could. They're kind of obnoxious though. They have no presence at all, very very awkward people.

One thing was missing the moogle. In a past Famitsu issue there was a picture of a moogle too. But I see now thing on it here. I so can't wait until 09. I wonder if FFXIII will come out in Feburary in Japan and if there will be any chance of it to come out in June or July. The sad part is if it come out in in July of 09 in the US. I have to say I feel really bad for people that live in Europe. Because I can only wonder how much longer people will have to wait over there.

33 centimeters may seem short since americans don't usually use the metric system, but it actually equals to almost exactly 13 inches. that's impressive.

Now i'm sure they call blond guy mr 33 centimeters probably because of the type of weapon he uses or perhaps a technique he has, like bruce lee's 1 inch punch. However, it's still a good thing they used a value that equals to more than 8 inches, or else immature ppl like me will not be able to take this character seriously, and feel that his name refers to his penis length.

They call him Mr. 33 centimeters, because that's his shoe-size. 33cm.

Same thing. But now that you mentioned it, it makes sense, since it's kind of a clever indirect way of saying he's a big guy. The video does mention he can carry a person under each arm at the same time while running.

What just occurred to me is the cultural difference shown here again. You notice how this guy is supposedly big and tough, but he doesn't have treetrunk arms, legs, and and necks like the gears of war body builders. I'm glad
