Unfortunately, we got overzealous hoping that this was a videogame adaptation of Dante's
Divine Comedy. While that's certainly not it, the game is, in fact, a title all about 1960's hog riders living the life of sex, drugs, and rock n' roll. Uh, we were pretty close ... somehow. Anyway, titled
Ride to Hell, this Deep Silver-published game allows players to "immerse themselves in the liberty and freedom of riding full throttle with their gang on a multitude of different vehicles through the dusty flats of Western America."
The game is all about recreating "original West Coast biker culture" -- leather, ass-less chaps, and all. Protecting turf, machines, bros, and their hos from rival gangs is at the core of this game. It sounds all rather
GTA-ish, but with a distinct biker flavor to it. We're interested to see more. The game is being developed for "next-gen consoles" and PC; expect to see it sometime mid 2009.

OK. Game publishers really need to stop using the phrase "next-gen consoles" now. (Unless you really are developing games for the PS4, XBOX-720 or the Nintendo [insert weird, made-up name here].

"Super Nintendo Wii"
"Nintendo Wii64"
Hmmm.....

I think the only reason they are still using that term is because they still consider PS2 as current gen for some reason. But I still do agree with you.

By saying next gen they are leaving out the usual Wii/PS2 versions. They don't really have a choice though. In the past they could classify consoles by 8 bit or 16 bit or whatever. What else is can they use to classify these consoles?

Cool, I've been reading Hunter S. Thompson's Hell's Angels lately, this fits perfectly.
