Algol officially joins the Soulcalibur IV roster

Despite appearing in the Soulcalibur IV UbiDays 2008 Transcendence trailer, Algol didn't become official until today. Heralded as the "strongest character ever in SC series" by character designer Hideo Yoshie, Algol possesses the Soul Calibur on his left hand and the Soul Edge on his right. He can also fly in the air and has ten kinds of weapons built into his body. Algol's armor is of a bird motif and originated in an ancient kingdom lost to the sands of time. While the above picture shows Algol when he was still human, his hair color change signifies his transformation into something more.

SCIV will be my first SC. dunno squat about the series.

As a new player to the series SCII so is THE best of the series. I've been a fan since Soul Blade. SCIV looks like its going to be good hopefully they won't drop the ball on this one like they did for SCIII

Hmm, I've never heard of him, either--at least in none of the other previous SC games, so I'm guessing he's new to the series. Of course, from the way they make him sound it's possible he could be a new Boss, if they're touting him as being this incredibly strong character. Who knows? Can't wait to find out!

Yeah and a demo would be cool as hell, but I doubt if they do one.

I really don't think a demo would come out for SC4 reason is simple, cause its coming out this month on the 29th lol. I've only played SC1 and 2 but never heard of this character...but even if he is only a boss he dose sound kinda stupid, I mean come on he can FLY and has TEN weapons inside his body plus both soul swords...uhhh how much more broken can you get then that? If he is a unlockable character...ugh I don't even wanna think about it.....

The strongest character in SC ever? Im guessing that means he'll be even cheaper then night terror in SC3...
There go my hopes of finally having a decent boss battle in a fighting game...
